When I think about the top altcoins, I see them using smart contracts with low gas fees and gaining a ton of popularity among users with real use cases. Ethereum and Solana definitely pop into my head, but this convo can apply to any leading alt. Honestly, the whole decentralization and privacy chat in the blockchain world feels pretty exaggerated. If you check out the official provider list on Ethereum’s site, you'll notice that almost all of them make you create an account to access their nodes. Even if they only ask for a little personal info, there’s still the usual fingerprinting happening, either directly or through third parties like Google or Cloudflare. That fingerprint gets tied to your account, which means you’re not really anonymous. Plus, everything you do on the node transactions, checking balances, all of it is logged to your node account. I think this is a big issue that needs more attention in the blockchain space. We should compile a list of nodes that don’t need you to create an account. These nodes shouldn’t be hidden either because, like using a VPN for privacy, you want a lot of users on them. If you’re the only one using a node, it won’t do much for your anonymity. Let’s kick off this discussion and gather some anonymous node options.
