Honestly, I’ve been noticing a lot more new projects popping up on BSC and Base lately rather than Ethereum. Is this a sign that Ethereum might be slipping from its throne as the go-to platform for launching quality projects?
I was thinking about this after the Linea TGE just happened. It feels like it’s been ages since I saw a major launch happening directly on Ethereum.
Has anyone jumped into the Linea ecosystem yet? Since it’s designed to boost Ethereum's scalability, do you think initiatives like this can keep Ethereum in the lead, or are more developers likely to shift to other blockchains?
Base is L2 of ethereum so if there's new project launched there, they're just 1 step away from making it available on ethereum without doing migration or anything just deploy contract to ethereum and change of RPC.
Talking about linea as scaling solution for ethereum. Surprisingly it's not doing really well with the scalability.
Recent airdrop has made the blockchain crowded and many transactions unprocessed for few hours (pending).
I don't really think linea is an innovation by any means, just another L2.
What do you think about solana which I think would have the highest number of newly launched tokens, but where also most of them are pump and dump tokens?
If you mean the second spot in the marketcap, I think no coin will be able to take ethereum for now. Ethereum underperformed before but later it performed well recently.
For a coin to perform well is also kind of beyond the tokens lauched on the coin blockchain.
Yeah I agree with you though. It's more to do with utilities and what they're doing than blockchain. Talking about utilities what's your take on Linea as they seek to provide a faster, more cost-efficient, and highly scalable platform for decentralized applications (dApps), while remaining fully compatible with Ethereums existing infrastructure?.
Ethereum is already strong and Linea is presumably just riding the L2 hype even though hype already fades, it's mainly because Linea can't stop milking their users with the prolonged TGE.
I've seen more project getting deployed in base than linea. Even linea isn't among the Top L2 that generates highest revenue.
Although I can't deny the fact that it's consensys backed project is the reason it could reach massive 2.5B FDV, a feat that no new L2 could pull of in market like this.
On the other hand, builder never considers L2. They just choose whether it's SVM or EVM and call it a day.
