Lightning and L2s just aren't Bitcoin, right?

Totally agree! Bitcoin's all about finality and decentralization, backed by that proof-of-work. People worship this stuff, attacking things like proof-of-stake for not being decentralized. I can’t get into that religious vibe tho.
I think you're mistaken... Lightning uses Bitcoin protocols. If you don't vibe with the majority who dislike centralized systems, maybe this isn't your scene. The pushback against proof of stake is all about security flaws, so just consider that.
It's wild how some are so passionate about Bitcoin, it's practically a religion, lol. But let's be real here, going back to centralization just creates the same issues we wanted to escape from. Satoshi's whole vision was against that.
Exactly! Decentralization is the core of Bitcoin, not a flaw. I agree some folks just want Bitcoin to take over everything, but that misses the point. Lightning isn't Bitcoin, and that’s okay. They have different roles.
