I've got a M20S and a M31S+ that use different power supplies. The M20S has been acting up with its hashing lately, so I’m starting to think it might be a PSU problem. Is it possible to just switch the PSU from one miner to the other? I checked out the Whatsminer site and noticed they have a bunch of different models. Can anyone tell me if these are all interchangeable? I noticed some specs are different, like 16A vs 20A max and the 277v rating... other than that, are they compatible with each other? My input power is 240V and each ASIC runs on a separate 20A circuit.
Can I swap PSUs between Whatsminer models?

Why not try them the power consumption of both miners is nearly the same m20s can pull 3360W and the m31s+ can pull 3360W so they are both the same.
Just make sure about the PSU specs 16amp is not enough to run these units and 20A should be enough to run these miners unless.

look for the codes like 21 or 21 d or 21 s
here are a few
P 21 d
P 21 dh
P 222c
P21 d and P 21 dh will work but you will need to upgrade the firmware in the controller to accept the change as the firmware looks at the label/name of the psu
I did this with a replacement psu for my m20s unit.
Sorry for the delay in reply.... Been out of town.
I did end up swapping PSUs and same thing. I'm beginning to believe it's a control board or cable issue. It's at the point now after a few minutes or a few hours the ethernet port lights start going dim, then the lights go out all together. Once that happens the fans rev up to full RPMs and the unit drops off the network. I can totally kill the power and the unit and start the cycle all over again but it is a continuing cycle. Not seeing any errors in the sys log that sticks out.

How about the API logs?
Can you post both system logs and Cgminer API logs here and don't forget to use code tag a button with # icon. Alternatively use pastebin.com if you have a character limit here then share the URL here.
I search a bit it seems that some firmware has a different PSU(it means it is only made for a specific PSU)so like Philipma said check the PSU label or the exact PSU model. Tell us where we will try to find a firmware that will work on that miner with other PSUs.
Which is the best way to extract the logs, via the whatsminer tool export feature or from the ASIC web interface and copy/paste?

On the web UI just go to advanced option and look for API logs if you don't know how to go to Hagssfin guide from this link below

You can also follow his troubleshooting guide under that link to help you troubleshoot the problem.
I have Whatsminer M20S review/guide here

You can see how the system log page and Cgminer API log page look like by looking at my screenshot images

Do you have the data cable between psu and control board connected ok?
I've put a brand new PSU on it.... same thing. I was told on the whatsminer telegram group that was the issue so I ordered one.
Update on this..... swapped the controller board and it's been working perfect for a few days now.
Thanks for the follow-up!
It looks like it may have been a control board issue.
Can the P21D be used on both M20s and M31s+?
