Hey there. So, I got some Electrum-XVG (I think) as a gift around ten years back. I'm trying to figure out how to get my funds back. I've got an 8-word seed phrase that I was advised to keep secure. It's not a ton of money, just a few hundred pounds. Can someone give me a simple step-by-step guide? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi!
https://vergecurrency.com/wallets - here's the wallet section of the official website. You can just download the official wallet for the platform of your choice or a 3rd party wallet - doesn't really matter, they usually are multicoins too. Once you open the wallet you will be asked to either create a new wallet or import a seed phrase of an existing wallet - you do the latter.
Then you'll be able to send the coins to an exchange address or wherever you want to send them to.
Links in case you, or somebody else wants to verify the authenticity of the official website's link:

Whether the OP is trying to subtly deceive the community, spread backlinks or what, I searched electrum XVG and found a suspicious site that was never mentioned anywhere on the official Verge site.
Whois info:
If OP refers to that page, his claim about 10 years ago is not true according to the site's info presented.
There indeed was an XVG Electrum, launched about 9 years ago and shut down about 5 years ago.

Thanks for the additional info, it really helped clarify things for me. I always miss complaints on Reddit because of my internet provider's limitations.
So, my findings are really not genuine one.
Verge no longer has another separate site for downloading old discontinued wallets. And their current official wallet name is vergePay (only on the official site) and supports several types of devices.
If the Electrum-XVG wallet hasn't connected to any server for years, I'm surprised these tokens will still have value in 2026.
Generally, the easiest way is to use Atomic Wallet and longest method via official wallet with https://verge-blockchain.info/ You can find the steps here ---> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5320090.msg56438577#msg56438577
