I'm getting ready to set up a hosting farm for bitcoin mining either in Texas or possibly Nebraska. Here's what I'm thinking: 1. I'm looking for at least two partners. 2. I’ll head to Texas to wrap things up and begin building. What should I be targeting for electricity costs? I’m thinking around 4 cents per KW. And how much should I plan for the initial investment? I’m estimating between 50K to 100K USD per MW for the setup. I’ve already got mining farms in four different locations around the globe. Any useful advice will come with a reward. Thanks!

Hey, I’ve helped build-out the electrical and managed a couple mining farms here in Texas. I’ve seen as low as 3.5c per kWh for a 3MW farm so I think 4c per kWh is definitely achievable, depends on the location and the contract with your power provider, ppa’s, 4cp, etc.  As for the cost of the build I’ve seen 100k per MW as the average for the bare necessities of building out electrical, racks, cooling etc. granted that was in a warehouse with existing infrastructure. If you’re setting containers and doing a new build somewhere I would expect more.

Thank you. I would appreciate. I found quotecolo .  com -- They are offering some referrals . Hmm 100K per MW. is achievable. It might be more if it is compensated with overall lower price of electricity like 3.5 cents. Are you able to actively help ? I can PM you.

"HOSITING"? Um if you are looking for investors/partners you might want to correct that...   To me at least, if someone cannot be bothered to spell HOSTING correctly for the topic header, I sure as hell would not partner with them. Attention to detail is one thing I look for when I invest.

Lol Yes IT guys focus on correct spelling and that what made their achievements in Math competitions.  . Yes and apparently your experience with international network of data centers is low. In such big projects the role of partner and investor is tangled. To clarify for general public: I need partner and reliable location for crypto farm and data center. Not an investor.

4 cents is OK. Location is not so important, It can be even more North in USA or even at Canadian borders as far as it is at safe place.  Gan you give me hints who to contact if you have any ? And who are local experts? Here I hope to find them .
