CZ of Binance Gets a Presidential Pardon

Back in April 2024, Changpeng Zhao, aka 'CZ', got hit with a four-month prison sentence after admitting to breaching US money laundering laws. He also had to cough up $4.3 billion once it came out that he helped users dodge sanctions. Binance has been on a mission for over a year trying to get their leader pardoned. Now that CZ wrapped up his sentence last September, they think he deserves a pardon. Their push got a boost with Trump launching his new coin, especially since the new president is way more crypto-friendly compared to Joe Biden. Thanks to this pardon, Zhao can now get back to managing his financial ventures, but it’s still up in the air whether he’ll reclaim his spot as the head of Binance after stepping down in 2023. Here’s where it gets juicy: before his pardon, his companies linked up with firms tied to Trump. Is it just me, or does it seem like Trump is handing out pardons pretty casually? I mean, he did the same thing with Justin Sun's fraud case, all because of Sun's crypto ties to Trump’s family investment, World Liberty Financial. So is there more going on here?

It supposed to be in other board but I do not know the exact board it should be. Maybe it should be on exchanges but not really fit a discussion on exchanges. With time, we are going to know. But I think he should be able to, unless he does not want to. This is a guess.
