I've been using AI to get a grip on bitcoin, but the mods aren't fans of it. If I remember right, you had to manually set a fee back in 2010 when I first got into bitcoin core. One of the main reasons I'm all in on bitcoin is because I'm fed up with others dictating how I manage my own money.
If you've got a modern computer with lots of RAM, you can tweak your Bitcoin node's dbcache setting to something higher than the default 450MB. Doing so can really speed up the Initial Block Download (IBD).
But you've gotta think it through when you boost the dbcache value based on how much memory your system has. For example, if you have 16GB of RAM and 6GB is free, bumping it up to 2GB should be fine. But if you're only left with 2GB of free RAM, pushing dbcache to 2GB might mess with system stability.
So, can we change this in bitcoin.conf, through the command line, or if you're on bitcoin-qt, is it doable in the GUI settings?

You can do any of the above and they have the same effect. GUI and bitcoin.conf is probably the easiest and ensures persistence. Just dont allocate too much memory for dbcache or youll run out of mmeory.

You can use whatever you want, just don't post chatbot verbal diarrhea here. You know you learn more from reading than from posting, right?
I have no idea what this means.
Hello chatbot.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
