The title says it all. A lot of folks seem to regret not getting into Bitcoin earlier, especially those who wish they had bought in around 2010. But honestly, do you think feeling sorry about what we missed out on will change anything for the future? Shouldn't we just concentrate on stacking Bitcoin now so we don’t end up kicking ourselves in five or ten years? If we can hold onto what we buy today, we won’t have to look back with regret. Many of us encountered Bitcoin when it was still cheap but didn’t take the plunge. Now we’re back in the game yet still debating whether to accumulate more.
I think what we do now in terms of accumulation is what will shape our financial future. It all comes down to our current financial situation; we need to accumulate and hold for the long haul. The amount we gather and how long we hold it will really impact where we end up financially. Personally, I’m a fan of DCA, so we can keep buying during dips.
What do you all think?
Here I have to be agreed with you about this point because after reading about Bitcoin and crypto I was also having regret why I am not early adaptor in this community but now its can't happen just because of this I am studying about many points which can help me to start my journey from now with good security.
Accumulation is first priority with my available sources with having good way of keeping is also important because losing password or phrase is surely problematic which can ruin all savings also having good understanding of DCA is also giving me good encouragement for starting my journey with strong strategy because currently it's best for starting instead of regretting about past in this journey.
Regretting the past won't change our future but it can be the best tool to be reminded that we must learn from our previous experiences.
I highly agree, instead of being stucked on the regret of the past, we must move one and do things that we failed to do in the past that lead us to regret. Starting to accumulate Bitcoin today can make up for the past mistakes and regrets. After all, Bitcoin is believe to stay for a very long time.
If one didn't buy BTC in its early days, then that time is as good as gone. As a matter of fact, some of the people crying over this are only doing so because in hindsight they can witness how well BTC has aged. If you spoke to them about BTC months after its inception, they wouldn't go anywhere near it, and even if they did, they would have sold 'ages' ago. It is a simple decision to make, if you believe you missed out on buying BTC years ago, then do that now, because it can only get better in the future.
Electrum is an excellent choice, though it is an online wallet and you may want to either use it in an airgapped device when your funds get larger or buy a hardware wallet. Also take note that your wallet password only protects your wallet locally, even if you lose your password, you can always recover your funds through your seed phrase, that is what you should back up safely, no mistakes.
Well if I may say I like to believe that regret is just a waste of time or a way of running from responsibility because that's what most folks like to do, making up excuses just because dey are too scared to take the risk and start there bitcoin accumulation journey. And what dey don't know is that the longer you wait because of your regrets the longer your journey becomes and it would indeed bring more and more regrets to the individual.
That said bitcoin accumulation is always about long term growth not only in funds but in knowledge and good psychology. It helps build up once experience. Though the journey may be hard but if you as an individual keep relying on your past why didn't I buy it really wouldn't make a difference; it would only keep you in one spot. So that's just it We should keep in mind that anytime wasted is one that can be put to good use in one's financial life....
As human we must have a regret about the past which is not in our control and we can do nothing about..having regrets are normal but using that regrets as a motivation to make amends and do the right thing is best.
Every now and then we see people regretting why they didnt know about Bitcoin in its early days..they could have bought and Hodl and others regretting why they sold their bitcoins too early but what we should ask our self is..are we taking the right steps not to have another regret in the future? This is an opportunity, since you now knew about bitcoin and you have to potential to accumulate, then just do it
Every time you ever felt like you made a mistake..learn from it and make amends, you shouldnt waste time thinking about what you could have done if you knew earlier, if you procrastinate then you making another mistake which you might also regret in sooner or later.
Lets take example of someone who knew about bitcoin in the year 2021, he was regretting why he didnt know about it earlier and was thinking how many bitcoin he could have accumulated instead of using the opportunity he had right in front of him to accumulate, he wasted yet another opportunity. And then now in this year when he sees the profits of the people that investing in 2021 hell then start regretting..
I totally agree with you, there is nothing we can do about the past, if we cannot change it we can make amends and move on to do the right thing if the opportunity is still open. We cannot blame anybody that had the funds but didn't buy Bitcoin when it was created and very affordable, most of us thought that it wasn't going to last. Today Bitcoin has made a name for itself as a store of value and the market is open for everybody to buy and hodl, we believe that one day in the future it's price will reach $500k and will go on to reach $1,000,000. Bitcoin has proven that it has potentials to make it's holders rich, choose your strategy to buy with amount that you are comfortable to loose, preferably do DCA and hold for many years.
Anybody that is regretting the past without accumulating Bitcoin is not doing their self any good because if they are Bitcoin lovers but just keep on procrastinating and feeling regret for not buying Bitcoin in 2010, such regrets will not make Bitcoin price to reduce back to $1 so they can buy, they still have time to buy now until they are old and by then Bitcoin price might have doubled and they will be in profit. Accumulation is the power to become rich through Bitcoin because after reading what you said, I just had a thought that came to my mind, if someone is 30 year right now and then starts accumulating Bitcoin from now until they are 50 years old which would be 20 years from now, by that time they will be sitting on profit.
Yes, we should not think of the past but think of the future. Let us use the past to correct our mistakes if provided that we make mistakes. It will be highly good for us to accumulate bitcoin now, the price will increase in the future and we are going to make money from it. Bitcoin can still go $900000 in the next 15 years, that is still a good profit if we are still alive. But one thing that I like most about bitcoin is that in 4 years time, it will not be below $100000 and that it will get to all time high. I mean it is an an asset of value.
Many people prefer to dwell in the past, wallowing in regret over the things they couldn't achieve that's why you'd still hear some people saying "can it be possible to invest in Bitcoin now it's price has increased". Regret has never helped anyone, rather when you take proactive steps that's when you'd notice that all that time spent in doubt and fear should have been spent doing something useful. I still maintain that Bitcoin investment isn't for everyone but at the same time, you'd never know if you don't try.
Same as yours, remaining in the past won't make anything right, the past cannot be changed. What matters is how we can amend the little areas we can, take corrections and make good use of opportunities when it comes.
Perhaps, for a life time, Bitcoin may not drop below $10 or $20K which we witnessed a few years ago, it is not a enough to stop us from accumulating at this price, what we accumulate from now, hence will determine the future, the past should only be a source for taking correction.
I completely agree with you! I'm a little concerned about the fact that I've been reading a lot about the DCA strategy on various forums lately. People seem to have bought into the idea that Bitcoin's price will rise over time. And that gradually accumulating Bitcoin is a great financial strategy. 🙋
Why am I concerned? I believe the market as a whole is playing against the crowd. When most people thought Bitcoin was a bubble, a Ponzi scheme, and a scam, I was calm. When most traders were shorting Bitcoin, I was calm. When most crypto enthusiasts thought Bitcoin was obsolete and alternative cryptocurrencies were more promising, I was calm too...
And now it worries me a little. Right now, in my opinion, there's too much optimism about Bitcoin. People didn't believe the price of silver would rise. And now silver is rising.
Regarding Bitcoin, people believe its price will soon rise to $1,000,000... Does this foreshadow a multi-year bear market? No modern crypto enthusiast for the price of Bitcoin to fall for many years in a row (for example, 7 years in a row).
Will crypto enthusiasts have the courage and patience to weather such a bear market? And what will happen to miners? Overall, I expect many surprises ahead. Not necessarily the surprises I described in this post. 🧏
Of course remembering past problems will not change anything... just make it a memory that you once had a lot of bitcoins. As for regretting it, there is no point that they will not make progress to change the future.
The accumulation plan from now on is better even if you do it slowly with the DCA strategy... because this is the most common and simplest strategy to understand and easy to do.
They may not believe bitcoin will reach millions of dollars in the future... try if it is accumulated from now on then your fate will change because of the bitcoin that is owned from the accumulation.
I dont think there is anything wrong with feeling regret. Its normal to look back and wish we had accumulated more bitcoin earlier. Regret may not change the past, but it can encourage people to reflect and think more seriously about their decisions.
I personally regret not buying or not holding the bitcoin I earned before, but after realizing that I had to move on. What matters most is what we do now, not how much we regret missed opportunities in the past.
Michael Saylor used to go to bed worrying that he didnt have enough Bitcoin!
Nobody can change the past so there is no point dwelling on what has happened only to learn
from it, so yes accumulating Bitcoin can be the remedy for past mistakes.
Act today so you can reward yourself in the future.
There's always a consequence to Every action we make
Whether good or bad only time will tell.
And many sold it when it was cheaper.
DCA isn't really chasing the dip
But buying at interval or continuous certain amount in this case Bitcoin.
I imagine seeing myself creating this thread, and seeing comments like " we have so many threads that say exactly this shit you said," "you're just an idiot and have no good post all shit post" etc but we see how well we can accept people with bigger positions do exactly we would do and its seating well with everyone.
Well OP not against your motive just trying to show that the forum is tied to a sentiment but is always denied, however, for some time now I've been trying to hold some bitcoin but those are not enough, having known that bitcoin is going to keep falling for some time, I have been accumulating USDT while also accumulating bitcoin in small amounts but for the USDT I will use that for lump sum when the time comes.
There are some sets of people who are regretting, even though they are not supposed to be regretting because they are not aware of the existence of Bitcoin at early days, Yet, they are still regretting I dont know why. They are just putting themselves in sadness insteady of them to focus how they can accumulate.those who can truly regret not investing in Bitcoin early are those who knew about it and had money to invest but did not invest. Even then, they dont need to worry that much, because they still have a great opportunity to invest in Bitcoin.
Thinking about the past only puts them in unnecessary sadness, which is not supposed to be so. As has been said, some people regret not having the opportunity to invest early. If they had started investing when that regret began, they might not be regretting now, because they would have accumulated some amount of Bitcoin.therefore, it is better to start now and not regret again in the nearest future.
