So on November 14, 2025, Musk tweeted that they’re launching this new communication system encrypted messages, audio and video calls, file sharing, all that cool stuff. He mentioned "X Money" is coming soon. I can’t help but wonder... if they actually allow people to pay with Dogecoin, that would be pretty crazy. Not sure if I’m overthinking it, but maybe it’s a good idea to scoop up some DOGE now? I mean, markets have been super weird lately, and I’m not trying to give anyone financial advice or anything lol. Just wanted to hear your thoughts does this even make any sense?

I mean it's possible. He's frequently shilling for doge and all, there's also rumour that litecoin will be accepted. You will see soon enough though. Might be an alpha might be not. The product itself is interesting and I guess I will try it day 1. Moreover they're said to be working with VISA. They're cooking something right now, possibly a seamlessly integrated crypto debit card?

It means he’s really cooking something up about this. Ever since, we’ve known Elon is a true Doge fan lover. Oh no, if it does happen, then it’s likely we’ll get another intense trend hype once the announcement is made about that. And if that really happens, it’s also likely there’ll be a price rally in Dogecoin. Have you visualized when this might possibly happen, dude? And do you have a source for where you got this information? Thanks.

Are you sure Elon Musk shill recently? I asked because when he do his manipulation, I do see doge increased around the time as more people buy doge but doge is doing like other coins now by falling. This is not the appropriate time to buy doge. Just be patient and let us see where the market is going. But you can DCA bitcoin.

It sounds like a perfect bait and switch for the people in question that would act up on the news, I agree.

We all know how good Elon Musk is, in terms of shilling his Doge so most likely it's the one that he is going to accept in his so called X wallet. As for Bitcoin, no, I doubt it again, he uses to be the face of Bitcoin until his sudden switch and attacks. But from what I look at it, gonna be late for Elon to hype Doge. We're already somewhat in the bear market, there's no altcoin season in this cycle and so with that, investors might not rally with this kind of announcement even if it comes from Elon Musk himself.

This is already turning a race and its the survival of the fittest, so if he's introducing some new stuffs to the X users, i don't think its a bad idea at all, because you will even discover that telegram has been upgrading ever since till today, they have their wallet and you will also discover how some browsers like brave among others also has their own wallet, so i don't see why a reputable platform like X should consider something even more bigger.

Everybody wants their own wallet for their own eco: because it ties them directly to said eco and makes you use the end product more.

I speculate that there would be only 50% chances for Elon to still back dogecoin. In my view, he might have switched over to other coins or staying away from dogecoin already as his 'dogefather' project had been finished up long back itself. I maybe wrong here but I feel like whatever payment thing to be incorporated with x.com. there could be very slim chances for dogecoin to be one of the payment option there. The new agency DOGE in Trump's government did anything for dogecoin other than the initial marketing by its name? So, I guess that dogecoin is no more in the list of Elon Musk's favourites. If I am totally wrong and x.com would be adding dogecoin as one of the payment option at least, I believe dogecoin will scale its ATH and start flying again. So, grabbing some dogecoins right now may go either side and only insiders might be making money out of this and I am just going to watch with fingers crossed.

Yes it should make sense but actually id doesn't. Elon Musk and Doge are in win-win partnership since day one. Doge hasn't a strong structural base because it was mainly built as a meme coin in the early age of crypto when there are only few cryptocurrencies and the project was made for by enthousiast devs to later become supported by community having fun. But later Doge reach the point to lose community support until Elon Musk entered the game as a great supporter. Why Elon Musk had chose Doge? Well, simply because the cryptocurrency isn't governed by any entity with centralized decision-making power, to make it a pump and dump cryptocurrency that can generate huge revenues. However, the project itself is far to be a recognized cryptocurrency in the any industry. The Doge project has a lot of problems with scalability and inflation and mainly the lack of updates within the network itself. Those can be considered as loopholes to not take it that seriously out from being a trading instrument.

Whether he'll add Dogecoin there or not, what he has to make is to make it accessible to all of its users. Is it launched already or not yet? It takes time for the development and that's the superapp that he's saying. Elon loves Dogecoin so much but I guess that he's only there to pump and make fun of it but in actual of accepting and investing on it, he's not the real deal. But with the support that the app or wallet he's making, it's possible that he'll simply add that. No one knows, but if you consider that it might be back to its former ATH, good luck. And that's because it has an unlimited supply.

Sounds great. But isn't this what David Chaum's "xx network" project was trying to do? It had a hard time gaining traction. Why would Elon's coin be any better? Personally, I don't think Elon Musk will integrate Dogecoin on his "X Wallet" payments system. He didn't do it before when he bought Twitter (now called X). Why would he do it now? He's just "bluffing". All in an attempt to lure investors into his little project. The guy loves anything with an "X" on it, so maybe XRP will the one crypto to be used on his new payments system? That would be insane. We'll see what the outcome of Elon's experiment will be. I'm sure it will be the subject of scrutiny among regulators. At least, in countries with a tight regulatory stance towards crypto. The launch will probably go smoothly in the US, though (as the country is pro-crypto). Just my two sats.

It's just another wallet. You can be tipping everybody on X already they usually put their crypto address in their bios. My concern is whether it's gonna be self custody or custodial wallet, if it's custodial then just use your normal wallet, those are far better.

I don't why people are hyped up about this but I'm not. I like to have my social media feed as cleanly as possible. I don't want to have a wallet in my feed or a feed in my wallet. None of these features should be overlapping. It's to early to say so I won't make any conclusions about X's wallet. Maybe it would make dogecoin holders happy or maybe not, either way, you all should keep your expectations ultra low oj that front.

It is because Elon Musk is a billionaire and industrialist and then this is related to crypto, so it may shake the crypto market again, but it is no problem if you will not join the bandwagon. None is forced here anyways. Having a wallet in a feed is I think still cool and oaky. It is like social media is an all-in-one platform now, so there is no need for one to install and use a separate crypto wallet, only to initiate a crypto transaction. As a Dogecoin supporter, this news is so positive, still thanks for the concern.

Yeah, all good. There's something I learnt in my college days and that's "separation of concerns". As much as having a wallet in the feed sound cool, I don't think it would gel well or have integrations that would allow users to get the full experience especially if they plan to participate in things that happens onchain. I'm also not one to shit on people's bags since I also have bag bias myself

I think he'll succeed. Yes, he's a very unpredictable person, and I personally wouldn't be surprised if Elon Musk had such a vision and, at the outset, as the OP mentioned above, said, "X Money is coming soon." And it's not impossible that after this launch gets an overwhelming response, he might launch something bigger for his expansion under the name Bank X Money. Yes, and of course the Dogecoin supporter community will be very enthusiastic about this news, of course.

I think the one that they already have is not really a crypto wallet but it is only an option to put a crypto address, so that X wallet right there is still necessary. This X wallet must be a custodial type because it is also associated with a centralized company. There are still people that doesn't really care about this stuff but for a solid/true crypto user and a long-term investor like us, yeah that we always go for the non-custodial one.

Hasn't he been babbling about this "everything app" for a while now and that it could be used as a payment tool? I would be surprised if it wouldn't include some crypto elements but anything is possible i guess. Maybe he just want create new paypal, as we already know he is into that kind of companies. That wouldn't need crypto, at least in any form we use it now.

It doesn't even make sense. Use your logic, please. Just because Elon hinted to launch X payment, so you are always linking it to the doge coin. The fact, it's possible X money will be also related to the stable token issued by X for its own player. We have seen how paypal, even Western Union are exploring to launch their own stable to support their payment system. Why can't X do that and use doge coin? It's no rational. I'd believe they will launch their own stable same as paypal with their PYUSD.
