I'm trying to send some funds from my Ledger, but I keep running into this error message: "Something went wrong Please check that your hardware wallet is set up with the recovery phrase or passphrase associated to the selected account."
Funny thing is, I sent money from the same Ledger live account just a few days ago when I first set everything up.
I even tried restoring my Ledger with the 24-word recovery phrase, but no luck.
Any tips would be super helpful! Thanks!

You can clear the cache.
Alternatively
Have you tried it with Electrum also or only Ledger Nano software? I have not seen this type of complaint before but why not try connect it with Electrum if it is bitcoin that you want to transfer.

Thank you for your response.
I am a bit of a newbie
How would I clear the Cache?
Do you mean clear Cache on my Ledger or the device I have Ledger live on
And how do I connect Electrum to my Ledger live account?
Thank you again!

Thank you
I have tried to follow the guides
I cleared Cache but hasnt fixed it.
I tried following the instructions to install Electrum but on number 6:
"At the keystore screen, select Use a hardware device and click Next."
The screen only shows these 3 options:
Create a new seed
I already have a seed
Use master key
Thank you again for your patience!
(I can send you payment for your time and continued help btw)

^ it seems the Electrum doesn't detect your HW which is why it shows the standard options of creating new wallet. Make sure the HW wallet is detected and try repeating the same, so you will not expose the seeds to Electrum.
If it doesn't work then try import the wallet via recovery seeds to access the funds but keep that in mind once importing voids the purpose of cold wallet so never use the same wallet again for storing, use a freshly created ones for future storage.

by "import the wallet via recovery seeds" do you mean restore the ledger using 24 passwords?
Thank you

Might be caused by loose or even broken data line. You would be lucky if this relevant to USB cable used to connect your device with computer to check, just replace your cable with the new one. But if Ledger's USB port is complicit in that error it would be more trouble for you. (in this case you will need to open the case at least and examine the port).

Just an update..
When I use the Ledger to add an account to a Ledger live account on a new device, it shows a total of 0.00
I set this Ledger live account up only a few days ago on a previous device, sent a transaction fine using my Ledger device, but now Ledger live doesnt recognise the Ledger device.
if my concern was that maybe someone got hold of my passwords since I set up the account and did something to secure the funds, would I still be seeing the actual total on my previous device?
Thanks again all

#11Jul 21, 2019, 04:27 AM You mentioned you have 24 word recovery seed and that is what needed to restore your wallet on electrum since you're HW isn't recognized.
You just follow the simple process
Create New wallet => Standard Wallet => I already have a seed => Enter those 24 words and please check BIP39 check box
Once you have done this, you successfully restore the wallet and all the funds left.

#12Jul 21, 2019, 05:46 AM I did it but its showing 0.00 with no transaction history
When it should show a total and 5 transactions
if there was a mix up with my passwords somehow and now my ledger device is useless
Can I retrieve the funds another way?
The funds were sent to this ledger account from my other ledger account I do still have access to btw
(Only strange thing is the device worked fine on this account a few days ago)
