Is anyone shocked by this? Just another day with the EU throwing up roadblocks to innovation, especially when it comes to Bitcoin, which was meant to be an alternative form of currency. Look at why giants like Google and Amazon popped up in the US instead of Europe. If any entrepreneur in the EU had an idea like Amazon, they’d probably get buried under taxes and red tape. As soon as their intentions were known, regulations would come pouring in, all in the name of protecting workers at Tesco or Carrefour. It's the same story with Bitcoin and crypto. The laws are designed to choke off business rather than encourage it. And with mining, they’re hiding behind the environmental argument, which has been debunked countless times. But honestly, I’m not surprised given the current global climate.
