Giveaways have been popping up everywhere lately. Whether you're scrolling through your feed or driving around town, you're bound to see some brand giving stuff away. That's one of the things I love about the end of the year, 'cause there's always a shot at snagging some free stuff. I came across one recently where you can win prizes like iPhones and tokens like SOL, BGB, and even BTC! I'm definitely gonna give it a shot and see what happens. Has anyone here tried any of these giveaways? If so, did you actually win anything?

I do not encourage you to believe in end of year offers and discounts, they seem like a good investment opportunity but you will find that they will push you to buy unnecessary or unneeded things. As for investment and platform gifts, your chance of winning is slim so it is better to focus on free offers.

Probably they are legit but I find these kind of raffle or contest as rigged. Yes they are giving off those prizes but the result sometimes you dont trust it by how they just announced it or theres not much proof of transparency. But I did trust those exchanges, like Binance and Bybit, but I like them for good volume and trading set up but not the part of the reward.

I don't think I ever did. Surely, such giveaways will have sooooo many participants especially with super popular tier 1 exchanges plus with the possibility of folks botting hence it can be pretty demotivating to join. But if participation is easy for your usual use case and you wanna try your luck, why not? lol. Being hopeful is a nice feeling but make sure you can steer away from the typical scams, it is pretty rampant.

In my entire life, I have really not been lucky in any giveaways, whether Bitcoin or non-Bitcoin related. These kinds of gimmicks from exchanges are also a way for them to thank their customers as this season is for giveaways, giving season, and year-end celebrations.

One of the reasons too on why i dont really that liking on participating with these kind of competitions is that they are really that been flooded out with bots and if you are really just that an ordinary trader with ordinary trading skills then it will really be that ideal that you shouldnt be expecting too much about getting up some prizes or having that kind of winning mentality on which this is something impossible, but if you have that decided to join up these competitions disregarding about that winning chance or condition and you are just that wanting to hone up your skills then this isnt that a bad consideration also. Exchangers and every businesses out there does really give out their best offers and other perks in this holiday season on which this isnt something new anymore. The only ones who do have an edge into this one is to those who are really that good when it comes on trading skills. So it will really be that up to you into this aspect.

They are all lies. To win most of them you would have to spend a lot of time, and rack up an insane number of trades plus volume. I've won NFT 'giveaways' before on DEXes but I remember just to get in the lowest bracket I had to trade some crazy volume. Wash trading much?

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone winning from such contests, and it's hard to verify whether the winner has any connection to the platform or whether they are legitimate contests. In general, the amount of effort put into tracking these contests and offers is not worth the return.

Since you mention BGB, I guess that exchange is Bitget I don't participate in the exchange giveaways or trading competition because that is hard as you must beat many traders. I can not follow them especially I don't have much money like them. I prefer to trade as usual and forget the competition and giveaways. I don't know who is the winner but maybe that exchange list the name of the winners in their site. I don't pay attention to that so I don't know for sure.

It's also perfect time every year for scammers to shill their scam giveaways as it is a time people are less careful annually. They are more vulnerable to scam when they are more careless, and scammers only wait for your carelessness, then mistakes, to steal your money. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible so when your crypto was stolen, you lost it forever. Except if altcoin blockchains roll back, or if you file your scam report to police, government and they arrest scammers, and find some money to refund victims like you. I did not join. Even they are official campaigns, there are no free lunches in my opinion. There is always risk that you will lose you money by joining these campaigns.

If such contests are held by exchanges that have a good reputation, I am happy to participate in them, as this usually does not require any costs. Although I understand that the chance of winning something is very low) But if I see similar giveaways from companies unknown to me, then I ignore such messages.

Typically, Exchange promotion has a common goal of high trading volume which means only super whales trader can win all their promotions including the lucky draw since ticket accumulation is still based on the trading volume. Never heard winning the jackpot rewards like the cybertruck and other lucrative rewards but I do read some social media post on our local that he won a gadget on one the exchange promotion that requires affiliate sharing to gather points for a more chances of winning. Can’t remember the exchange but the gadget reward is not that expensive compared to iphone 16. The most common reward I can get out of exchange promotion are coupons and vouchers for trading fee discount.

live just goes on for me, I traded a lot, but never expected such giveaway to come up to me LOL, i always have this idea that this giveaway at most are just gimmick and even if there's real competition the giveaway probably will go to the highest performing trader which also trades millions of dollars. after all exchange finds volume and they can find more volume by awarding the big guys these prizes. in a nutshell, it's just a noise.
