Getting ready for the bear market...
If your faith isn't strong enough, just sell me all your BTC. We're not in this for a quick sprint, we play the long game instead of chasing market trends. Crashes don’t wipe out wealth, they just shift it around.
There’s really no bear market for BTC, right? It always comes bouncing back up, no doubt about that. And it often climbs even higher, the charts will tell that story, as patience rewards the hodlers like royalty.
So if you’re feeling worn out, just sell now and get out while you can. No shame in taking a break, but some of us hold onto our beliefs like a badge of honor.
We made a promise to never sell, of course at least until Bitcoin hits a million bucks or something crazy like that.
A tribute to those long-term BTC holders, or should I say warriors.
Bitcoin investment is not for the weak minded i.e those who panic during the dip, for you to be considered an investor you need to be mentally, physically and psychologically ready for the market swing.
Your point is valid. Bear market in bitcoin is only peculiar to traders not investors, so long as the plan is to hold for long I don't see anyone loosing out in bitcoin investment.
Haha! , sorry to disappoint you but I won't sell, I'll rather endure the heat from the fire to win later than to give up, there is every shame in that.
I intend to hold and pass on my bitcoin holdings to my next generation, I feel it will serve as a source of generational wealth for me and my family, so even if the value goes up to 1 million I'll happily hold.
Bitcoin has two seasons that are built into the system which is the bear season and the bull season. Saying there isn't a bear season BTC is wrong. That bitcoin price will come back up when the bear season is over doesn't make the bear season invalid. Don't mistake bitcoin volatility to the seasons. Your account was registered on the September this year, so am not surprised if you have really witnessed what a bear season is. Don't mistake the market correction happening recently as bear season. Bitcoin has a bear season and it is coming.
Bear market actually exist so you shouldn't get to excited to dispute the fact that bear market exists but it's just a stage and also opens to new opportunities during the bull run. The bear market is best known for its buying opportunities and aggressive accumulation among real investors who use the opportunity to invest more instead of selling. If anyone would panic during the bear market but hasn't sold by now, he is probably running a loss already and don't have to sell this time. Moreover bitcoin investment is not a short term assured gain source. So the best thing to do is to either maintain your DCA approach as long as you have a discretionary income because bitcoin will still bounce back and bull run would set in. Buying more bitcoin or either not buying more but also not selling at all.
Does bitcoin care about who you are to him, it goes up regardless. Your best interests comes from buying, making use of every opportunity and HODLing the much you have. Bitcoin is an asset and shows potential of moving higher after every cycle. The cycle is ending this year 2025 and we have all seen how it rewarded long term holders who some of them sold part of their bitcoin while others still didn't sell at all. We buy bitcoin not to help bitcoin, but to help ourselves and stay relevant in the future.
Prepare your money to buy Bitcoin. That is what you should do rather than sell all your Bitcoin. If the price increases so high, you can sell Bitcoin but not the entire amount.
People will have their own target price to sell Bitcoin. But many people want to hodl Bitcoin for the long term. So that will be up to them whether they want to sell Bitcoin to prepare for the bear market or still hodl it.
The bear market will come after the bull run. We may see another good time for the Bitcoin increase.
Exactly , selling all your bitcoin a smart cause price may not go back to that same amount you accumulated those BTC . Like someone who started accumulating around $5k you wont expect bitcoin price to go back to that range ,unless something massive literally happens to bitcoin which the chances of such event happening is low .
You can sell from it , in the bear market be ready to accumulate as much as you can thats how to prepare for the bear market, is not to panick or start selling off all your $BTC rather is a time to build your stash more .
Get a bear spray and load up on spray ammunition. Dont buy a silencer it kills the purpose of having a bear spray. When you spray the first bear, the others will hear the spray noise and run away in panic and warn their families and friends: The bear sprayer is in the muthafuckin jungle.
The moral of the story is, hodl tight, have some liquidity around so you can buy the dips.
Those who has no plans for long term are the ones that mostly regret whenever the market starts to get into the bear market. And once we're there, all of those noise that they've said that they'll start buying when the price goes down but in reality, there is no action that has happened from them. In fact, they don't like the market at that time and uncertainty comes to them because they think that the market might not recover anymore. And so, these people will learn the hardest way if they won't realize their mistakes that has done of not focusing in the long term.
I think it's very obvious.
Buy during the bear market, as the price is at a discount. Then hold and continue to DCA, have the moral integrity to continue to do that day it day out. That is the most difficult part, you might have the money in the bear market, but you might feel bored on buying and stop doing it.
Or those events that we can control in our lives that we need to sell some at that market sentiments. But still you can go back again and work your way up. And for sure, it's going to be worth that long term holding.
i will take this piece and make it mine because this is just what bitcoin is all about. faced a lot of resistance that seems capable of bringing it down but someway and somehow, it has always managed to pull through them all. the best way to prepare for the beer as well as the bull market is to remain invested and maintain a consistent strategy that continues working not just for the short term but for also the long term.
the strategy is simple. buy when you have the resource even though it is during the beer or the peak and when there is a beer, do not fret because bitcoin will still recover. it is that simple.
What needs to be done is to prepare your mentality. If not, you might end up selling the Bitcoin you already hold because you see its value continuously declining.
Next, of course, is to prepare capital for purchases at a cheaper price. Some people might postpone buying and accumulate capital first to buy during a bear market. In previous bear market periods, there were even stories of people selling their assets to invest in Bitcoin.
I do not think this is more about mental preparation than knowing the price history of bitcoin and know what could possibly happen. If coupled with good strategies like buying more as the price is falling, it will really be good. The price will increase back and the investor will finally make money from his investment. Bitcoin may not be good for short term investors during bear market but long term investors will still make enough money from their patience.
You need to prepare your funds, without the funds you set aside during a bear market, you might only be able to watch prices that are good for buying.
Study the market and the possibility that prices will drop to certain price ranges. Make a plan to buy at several price points that are likely to occur during the bear market. We dont know how long the bear market will last, so its better to try using realistic price targets and be patient for long-term gains.
Yes the best way to prepare for the bear market is to set aside some percentage of our discretionary income. Though it won't be a good idea to be waiting for a bear market before we start accumulating. This is one mistake so many investors especially low coiner and those that are struggling to build a good portfolio in bitcoin do make. An investor can be accumulating bitcoin and at the same why preparing for the bear market. This can be achieved by investing some percentage of discretionary income into bitcoin and the remaining percentage can be used to buy bitcoin during the bear market.
Even it is a personal preferences, those hodlers who are well aware of the fundamentals of bitcoin should not follow the market trends but should keep on holding to minimize the selling pressure in the market. I like to have a situation where long term holders and new adapters to beat the bear market so that we have stable prices and no bear trend in the four year cycle. It is almost impossible still when more people join the hodlers side, I guess that we can minimize the depth of bear market by half from the usual fall of 80-85%.
When you sell, you must have plans of buy back and most people do buy higher or earlier as we cannot time the market. To avoid these hassles, I suggest to keep holding and adding more through DCA so that we could diminish the dominance of bears.
When discussions like this usually comes up about selling and buying back I usually ask if the intention is to actually hold for long it is very risky to actually sell off and buy back later, if it actually goes according to plans it is very profitable because imagining having to sell your coin at $60k and getting to buy them back at an average of $20k that will be a good ROI but the problem is what if it doesnt go according to your plans because the market is unpredictable the price you sell off today might be lowest you could get again, so if your intention is to hold then you can actually just hold and add more or better still just sell half and then buy back later. At least the risk will be manageable if it goes against you.
For now just DCA and keep some amount for aggressive buying when there is bear market but dont wait and start Chasing the bear market just DCA
Hi, this sounds like a poem, and the content is also poetic from what I've read. The description is quite good, describing the current situation and the next steps. I'll only comment on a few snippets.
The point is, we can achieve new value if we're patient in the long term. While there are bearish market conditions for BTC, they're likely just a pause, a slight dip before jumping higher.
After all this commotion, whether from geopolitical issues, trade wars, or buying gold or stocks rather than volatile assets, is over, we will witness a significant shift in future economic development, one that's more digital, simple, and open. Let's prepare now.
In actual sense there is no bear season because after the price falls drastically what happens next when people start buying at the bear market, isn't it for the price to rise again? there are people who have already kept money for a bear season so that they can acquire more bitcoins and when they do, the price skyrockets which means that inside a bear season, a bullish trend can still arise. I think that is why OP is that there isn't a bear market for bitcoin. If you observe correctly you will realize that we have been in this bull run for a very long time so even if a bear season starts now, it will not be as it was in previous bear seasons again because the bear won't stay long if it appears.
Talking about the registration date of OP, is it really necessary to use that as a yardstick that someone hasn't experienced a bear market or to draw conclusion that the person started investing upon their registration date, people could have started investing in bitcoin long before they discovered the forum.
Know the fact that if there wont be bear season, you will never experience a bullish season that otherwise. Because the crypto market is designed like that. However, lets not normalize the idea that when bear season comes, people end up into panic selling and lose their coins and their future profits. Only naive and ignorant investors do that.
Theres always an opportunity that comes from bear and bullish season. You just have to maximize that and be able to sustainably grow your investment. And to be honest, excitement also comes when bear season is approaching, thats why Im earning already a decent amount so I can purchase high volume for bitcoin when bear season comes.
How to prepare for the bear market is to understand how the bear market works and that's what you have said because the bear market only purpose is to transfer wealth from the soft minded to those that have faith in the market. You can't be successful by being scared of the bear market. You'll have to embrace all the market comes with to understand what to do at every situation. In the bear market, what you should be doing is accumulating Bitcoin and not selling because of fear. Bear market doesn't last forever therefore why should you be scared by selling all the coins that you have held for so long. Keep holding and buy more so you have extra money because that's the best decision to take.
