So, I set up one BTC account on the Ledger Live app on my phone. Then I created a second BTC account using a different Ledger on the same app. I've named them Bitcoin 2 and Bitcoin 3 in the app, and it shows the total balance for both accounts until I click on either one. When I do that, I only see the funds for that specific account. Here's the problem: I might have lost the 24-word recovery phrase for the Bitcoin 2 account, so right now, I can only transfer money from the Bitcoin 3 account. Is there any way I can move the funds from my Bitcoin 2 account to my Bitcoin 3 account on Ledger since I can't access Bitcoin 2? Thanks a lot!

Keeping your wallet seed in digital form may result in losing your coins so it is better to write it down on a piece of paper or a metal copy. Account 2 can be accessed via Recovery phrase (24 words) or PIN CODE (4-8 digit) Do you have access to either of these? If so, use them.

As said I do not have the 24 passwords for Bitcoin account 2. By PIN CODE are you referring to the pin code for the ledger to verify transactions etc, as the same ledger was used to make Bitcoin account 3 afterwards with a new set of 24 passwords of course. Thanks again

Your story writing is a bit vague, so let me get this straight: if you don't have the 24 word recovery seed and don't your hardware wallet was reset to use a different recovery seed, you can no longer access your funds. The watch-only phone app isn't going to help you.

Key point: From what I understand, do you have two Ledger devices, right? Are both Ledgers configured with the same seed phrase? It's important to know that Ledger Live allows you to manage multiple accounts for the same coin associated with the same device. Have you tried accessing account 2 by trial and error with both devices? If you can't access one of the accounts, here's the reason: The account in question isn't associated with the seed phrase or PIN (if you have registered more than one PIN = PIN attached to a Passphrase). If you have set up a passphrase (attached to a different PIN), you must access the account with the same PIN you used when Ledger Live created the account. If switching between devices doesn't work, your only hope would be to reset the device to factory settings and restore the funds via the seed phrase to access the account and move the balance. If you created the Bitcoin 2 account with device "X", you need to access that account by connecting device "X" using the same seed phrase or PIN "of the device "X" If the Bitcoin 2 account was created with device "Y", you are likely trying to move the balance from that account using device "X", which has a different seed phrase or passphrase/PIN. Be very careful to avoid confusion. It is essential that you note down the master fingerprint for each wallet you create, so you can identify which seed phrase the account is associated with. Unfortunately, the Ledger Live trash doesn't display the fingerprint, so you can only view this information through third-party wallets like Electrum or Sparrow. My suggestion is that you connect your Ledgers to Sparrow and try to access each account. When connecting the hardware wallet, Sparrow allows you to select the account. I believe this should be the easiest method. However, if you cannot access the account because you lost the seed phrase and don’t remember the PIN, know that there is no hope. As for the PIN, with Ledger, you can make up to three incorrect attempts. After these attempts, the device is automatically wiped and reset to factory settings.

Based on what I understand you have 2 ledger wallet? I think you can still able to retrieve or send Bitcoins from the 2nd hardware device even if you use the same ledger live or use Electrum as your watch-only wallet. You can still able to make a transaction because you still have the 2nd hardware device. Even if you don't have the seed phrase backup, you can make a transaction by just entering the password or pin. Unless this device is broken or gone? and the remaining hardware wallet you have is the ledger wallet for your first wallet? If you still have the 2nd ledger wallet, you should still be able to transfer all of your funds from that wallet. Do you still have this device?

Can you try to present the details in an ordered and concise manner? I try to interpret the mess... You have one BTC account labeled "Bitcoin 2" from Ledger Nono #1. You seem to have lost the mnemonic recovery words for the wallet of Ledger Nono #1. Is this correct so far? Do you know the PIN to unlock Ledger Nono #1? (Required to be able to move funds out of this wallet.) If you still know the PIN of Ledger Nono #1, this is your ticket to move all funds off this wallet. DO NOT reset Ledger Nono #1 until you moved all funds from it. You have another BTC account labeled "Bitcoin 3" from a second Ledger Nono #2. You have the 24 mnemonic recovery words for this wallet? You have the unlock PIN for the wallet of Ledger Nono #2? Try to reply to every question to sort the details out. It's then easier to give accurate advise how to proceed.

You can't without the previous 24-word mnemonic seed of your "Bitcoin 2" account, you should have made a backup of it. If you have a backup: you can restore it on an offline Electrum, spend (send) it using cold-storage method with your "Bitcoin 3" wallet's address as the recipient. If you don't have a backup: then there's no other way to spend the bitcoins in your "Bitcoin 2" wallet, that's basically a "watch-only" wallet. I'll write you a step-by-step guide only if you have the 24-word mnemonic seed. Do not send it to me or any other user by the way, you have to do it yourself for your fund's safety.

No, I have 1 ledger nano device I used to set up the Bitcoin 2 account on the live app on my phone but that nano ledger device wasn't being recognized by the live app when trying to transfer, so I attempted to restore the nano via the 24 PW's on a new phone but it says there's £0.00 on it (So may have saved wrong 24 PW's) I have a 2nd nano ledger device I used to set up Bitcoin 3 that the live app does recognize fine and I can send transactions from. I can see both Bitcoin 2 and Bitcoin 3 accounts on the live app on my phone. My phone is the only place I can see the Bitcoin 2 funds as when I set up the nano ledger on a new device it reads £0.00 (Again as seems I saved the wrong 24 PW's) So am reluctant to throw this phone away as is the only place can see the Bitcoin 2 funds What I wish to do is transfer the funds from my Bitcoin 2 account to my Bitcoin 3 account

I can think of about 4 reasons why your balance might show up as zero. 1. Ledger Live has sometimes sync issues for whatever reason. There are support articles on Ledger's website that give some advice how to handle Ledger Live sync issues. 2. A wrong set of mnemonic recovery words, usually poorly documented without details when wallet was created, for what reason, ... 3. Your coins are on an account with a different address format. I guess Ledger Live should be able to detect this, but I don't use Ledger devices, nor Ledger Live. It's also possible you created multiple accounts for the same coin with your set of recovery words and after recovery only the default account has been recovered which might not have any coins in it. Different accounts have different derivation paths. I'm not going into much details about this for now. 4. You may have used an optional mnemonic passphrase as extension of your 24 mnemonic recovery words. Any deviation from your initially used optional mnemonic passphrase will result in an empty wallet. I have some doubts that it could be no. 4 because this is an advanced feature (sort of dangerous if you don't understand how it works and if you forgot to properly document the exact mnemonic passphrase extension). If you can see transactions on the phone that shows you a non-zero balance for account "Bitcoin 2", can you check what address format the inputs of your own spending transactions use? Let us know if it's legacy, Segwit or Native Segwit (probably unlikely it's Taproot). If you reset Ledger Nono #1 which initially had keys for the wallet which had account "Bitcoin 2" to restore a wallet with your 24 recovery words which may be a wrong set of recovery words, it could be that you now permanently lost coins of "Bitcoin 2", unless you find the correct set of recovery words OR the recovery words are correct and one of my other reasons prevents you to see the coins. Gosh, this sentence is too long and too much of a mess, but my brain is sort of frozen this evenening. When you use a hardware wallet with some wallet software, the wallet software usually only maintains a watch-only wallet without private keys on the phone or computer. The private keys are in the signing device, which is the hardware wallet. For now you should retain the wallet on this phone because it can still show some helpful details. If you can see addresses of non-zero account "Bitcoin 2", try to show details like the derivation path of one or more of those addresses. It can help to determine which account is used for those addresses (account in terms of derivation path). If you don't know what I'm talking about: brush up your knowledge at https://learnmeabitcoin.com This is obvious and nothing anybody here didn't understand.

If I understand you correctly, using the same ledger device, you first set up one wallet with 24 word mnemonic phrase, and added it to ledger live. Then you reset you ledger device, and set up another wallet with a different 24 word mnemonic phrase, and also added it to ledger live, so you see both accounts on ledger live, however, your ledger device is active with the second wallet you set up, and you don't have the mnemonic phrase for the first wallet you created on the ledger device. If this is the case, then you have no way of recovering (taking control) of the btc on the first wallet you created.
