So now Iran is pushing ships to pay tolls in Bitcoin for passing through their strait.
And it looks like Google is trying to flex their muscles once more by suspending Bitcoin channels.
I get it’s Bitcoin.com, so some of you might not feel too bad for them, but this could be a slippery slope for other channels too.
They might even crank up Operation Chokepoint 3.0 to try and squeeze Bitcoin, thinking it’s gonna actually impact Iran or something.
Honestly, it doesn’t matter who’s in the White House, the end result is always the same.
Not invested? Time to grab some more coins.
Holding tight? Get out there and spread the word about Bitcoin, build some software, or make some videos.
Here we go again...

Just another example of how stupid YouTube can be. I don't think it will stop tbh, it can get pretty annoying when the business side of things doesn't even know how their algorithm functions, let alone fix if they made stupid mistakes. I've read many cases where a YouTuber is flagged for various things, some of which also don't make sense. Not sure if this is motivated by any changes in geopolitics, unless they just feed their AI with something like "anything related to X is dangerous".
Your title almost gave me a heart attack.
I see it as an advantage for Bitcoin. On one hand if they try to keep up with such act taking down Bitcoin channels, it would create more awareness about Bitcoin. Then people would begin to ask about the reasons for their actions.
They like it or they do not like it, bitcoin will have the adoption that it deserves.
Having bitcoin for global payments is what countries should be doing now. They do not need to have all their payments in bitcoin but they can have part of it in bitcoin, instead of their centralized dollar.
If Iran bitcoin payment announcement for fee to be paid by ships to pass the Strait of Hormuz is the reason YouTube did this, it is an absolute nonsense. But we can not be sure yet until other bitcoin contents are taken down.
Iran is doing its own by demanding a fee in order to allow passage. At the same time, Google is taking advantage of bringing down some channels used for this purpose, threats here and there, these are the kinds of things we are prone to face when we are under a centralized authority, the only good aspect of this news is the acceptance of bitcoin, any other thing is being used as an advantage against bitcoin users.
We need BitTube .. cant trust YouTube anymore if they start cracking down on other channels as well.
It has to be something about their last video or latest video that the bot seem to get wrong or misinterpreted I guess unless it truly deserves taking down as a centralized entity , anyone got a YouTube archive?
I dont expect less from a centralized entity like YouTube though, they ban so many accounts just because of some little misunderstanding without an option for appeal . Lets see if Bitcoin.com will get a response on this one..
I'm not sure YouTube intentionally harm legit Bitcoin video or continue being incompetent. It's known you almost never get response or help from actual human being. And just few days ago, they also take down Nvidia's own video about their technology with copyright reason[1].

Most of the reports didn't mention Bitcoin as one of the currencies requested by Iran for passage in the Strait of Hormuz. The majority of news outlets mention the Chinese yuan and stablecoins.
They should have known a long time ago that Bitcoin is unstoppable. Bitcoin is part of my lifestyle, so accumulation is unending. Awareness would continue to grow through diverse means.
It won't be an advantage for us if it causes the US government to crack down on Bitcoin.
Remember, they are still "technically" at war with Iran still despite the ceasefire.
And Trump has done 180ºs on his opinions before.
There are reports on X/Twitter saying that they are requesting crypto and that Bitcoin is the most likely one of their choice.
I just searched to make more findings on the actual currency being mentioned, I learnt that most news mentioned Bitcoin specifically, while some had to equate the value in dollar per barrel with the statement that they supported crypto, and you know it, that it's very uncommon when crypto is being involved and bitcoin is not taking lead, I don't even think I come across the feeds that specifies stablecoin from my own search, even though some platform capture that from their reports, but be rest assured, Bitcoin is being paid and it's equivalent in dollar, it was stated $1 per barrel and you can covert to Bitcoin base on the capacity of each vessel content.
If you want to be treated unfair YouTube is the place to be, when they decide to set their eye on you they will frustrate you for no reason, I mean you won't even know why they did it.
Every explanation won't make sense and sadly whatever they said is the final, I have a sister who is into YouTube as a content creator, her life depends entirely on creating YouTube videos.
Last two months ago they put a ban on her account, and all her content is crypto related, no AI usage, I thought at first it must be the cause until I checked it out myself, YouTube way of judging 🧐 is too abnormal.
Copyright reasons? Hold on, was that about the characters from FIFA 26 or? I'm lost at this point.
What exactly is his plan? He's already clamped down against Iran on using the dollar-based global financial system, which he thought made Iran a lot of money, but didn't get them a worthy percentage. Does the US own Bitcoin now?? Look, this will only resort in using BTC as a political tool.

It is like another escalation from Youtube, and I don't know any of you experience issues with Youtube when using VPN recent weeks likely two latest weeks. Before I have never experienced any issues when watching Youtube videos with VPN but latest weeks, sometimes I will get their notification like I have to sign in an account (Google account) to confirm that I am not a bot in order to watch Youtube videos.
I am still unsure but it can be a universal change from Youtube policy or it depends on nationality when I use VPN.

Don't say anything more. Roger Ver, Jihan Wu, and the other conspirators tried a corporate takeover on Bitcoin. They also a lot of spread disinformation, half-truths, and lies.
No. Laughable.
Youtube does not target only bitcoin, but the whole thing about crypto without clear and reasonable explanation but just ''harm and dangerous'' content. I bet there is probably a big and influential VIP or company that is anti-crypto behind this youtube's decision making. And for what reason aside from violating ''spam, deceptive practices and scam'' policies, that reason remain unknown.
However, my worry is, this could lead to discouragement of future content creators that have plans on having crypto education as their content. I just hope youtube will execute fairness and rightfulness not just for crypto content creators but definitely for the whole team as content creators.
Yeah, YouTube can be really frustrating like that. Feels random sometimes, especially for crypto creators. Hope your sister manages to get it sorted.
This is obviously a ripple effect of the ongoing war in Iran which at this time is at a seize fire point. The geopolitical shift is causing this situation, so that many new investors get discouraged because the materials involved in learning about BTC is no longer available.
Since Iran decided to use Bitcoin to bypass sanctions, it is a predicted response to discourage this effort, but this is a stressful situation that is expected and very predictable.

Has this happened in the past in another crypto education channel? Have you appealed?
I do hope that Youtube will suppport education related channel. It is for the viewers to decide whether they will watch or not, believe or not and invest or not. Channels like this should continue to exist.
In my opinion, explaining without any clear reasoning is really absurd youtube is making fools of crypto because many times youtube's algorithm is considered a scam. When a huge platform like youtube labels a certain topic as harmful or dangerous, it has a negative impact not only on the current creators, but also on the entire ecosystem. Now let's see when big platforms like Bitcoin.com protest against it youtube often returns accounts under pressure his is not a permanent solution. For those working with bitcoin it is now becoming essential to host videos on your own server or use blockchain based video platforms.

If bringing down a YouTube channel that educates people about Bitcoin because Iran wants to collect toll fee with Bitcoin was the main reason why YouTube took the channel down then they are really not wise as an organization. Because knowledge of using Bitcoin has been existing long before now, that tells you before Iran would want to use something like this, they already have the technical know-how of the subject matter. Except maybe the government has threatened them to shutdown the channel which might be another angle to it.
