I wanna chat about immersion cooling for crypto mining and share some of my personal experiences and thoughts. I’ve got a YouTube channel where I test different systems, so check out my videos from the past few months if you're interested. A subscription would really help me out.
So, let’s tackle the big question. Does immersion cooling actually work?
Well, immersion cooling or liquid cooling tech has been around for over 30 years. Big tech companies have been using it to cool data servers and supercomputers, so adapting it for crypto mining isn’t that hard.
The short answer is YES, immersion cooling is effective. As long as the system is well designed, it can dissipate heat from electronic components just as well, if not better, than traditional cooling methods.
This type of cooling tackles a bunch of problems miners face daily, and I’ll list a few:
- The noise from high-speed fans
- Overheating issues
- Hardware failures caused by water and moisture
- Short lifespan of silicon chips due to excessive heat
Plus, liquid cooling can give you more overclocking headroom if you’re looking to push your hardware.
When you’re picking the right system, there are a few things to keep in mind:
- Quality of design and components:
The design of any system is just as crucial as its price. I’m not just talking about looks; I mean the size and arrangement of all components in the system. Look for a system that’s well laid out.

I also dealt with this topic. I would like to share my immersion cooling system with you and the world. Mining machines heat my bath water and heat my house.

A perfectly implemented idea of using immersion cooling for heat recovery for heating and, most importantly, the absence of noise and dust, and most importantly, more reliable operation of the equipment, while you do not just use electricity to heat the coolant, but also support the bitcoin network.
Awesome application and and hats off to you sir!!!
regarding immersion in general i have an immersion kit from dcx miners work very smooth there no hick-ups and really happy with it
on my other project i also use the air from the miners to heat the building, some pictures of all here
