There used to be quite a few folks tracking important events in the fascinating saga of Tether and Bitfinex. Sadly, most of those timelines kind of fizzled out around 2019 or 2020. Amy Castor, Bitfinex'd, Bennett Tomlin, Patrick McKenzie, and all the other Tether critics have seemingly moved on to new projects. But honestly, Tether still intrigues me a lot. So I decided to put together the most detailed timeline of Tether and Bitfinex history, packed with links to thousands of original sources.
