1. Follow the main rules of this forum: check the link for details. 2. This section is strictly for discussions related to BITCOIN MINING. If you want to talk about bitcoin forks or other cryptocurrencies, you need to go to the appropriate section for that. Topics that don't focus on bitcoin will be moved to the altcoin areas without any warning. Even if your discussion is about sha256d mining, if it’s not centered on bitcoin, it’ll be shifted. Right now, bitcoin mining is done solely with ASICs, so any talk about mining with CPU, GPU, or FPGAs will be redirected to the altcoin mining section. 3. You can only mine BITCOIN effectively with specialized hardware designed for it, which is ASIC-based. Trying to mine bitcoin with CPU, GPU, or FPGAs won’t yield any meaningful results. The difficulty of bitcoin adjusts to the network's mining power and has skyrocketed to levels that make it impossible to mine profitably with PCs or anything less than dedicated hardware. You won’t find any software in this section for mining bitcoin in such an inefficient way. It would take you thousands in electric bills to make just a few cents worth of bitcoin. Even if you gathered every computer on the planet, including all supercomputers, you still wouldn’t touch 0.1% of the current bitcoin hashrate.
