Anyone got info on whether www.niceasicminer.com is a safe place to buy stuff? Has anyone actually ordered from there and gotten their products, or know someone who has? Appreciate any feedback!

How do you trust a newly registered domain? Look at the whois info below its a 4 months old. I also tried to search it here on the forum no one mentioned it except you another thing that I noticed is that the price of their units is pretty much more expensive than buying directly from Bitmain shop and look all of them are out of stock except Antspace. So I suggest don't deal with them because there is a high chance that this website is scam.

This "team" is related to alot of websites, some posted below. https://bareprint.no/ https://zhaksy.com/ https://absone.us/ Looks like a copy paste from several websites with some changes - Same "TEAM" on https://bareprint.no/about/  - > https://www.niceasicminer.com/about/ - > https://zhaksy.com/about/ - > https://absone.us/about/ Like BitMaxz says, just stay away from this obvious scam - unless they are just selling all products that exist

If you are going to contact them and ask them it's obvious they will tell you that they are legit even if it is not. Where did you read? Is it from a trusted site and people? Even if there is one buyer who bought miner from them it doesn't mean you need to buy look at the whois it shows you it's new and never mention it here before so no one knows here that website exists unless you are trying to promote it? Look at your account it's newbie you just created this account to promote them.

it's like asking a corrupt Government official if they are corrupt or not. Of course, they will say they are not corrupt. What do you expect? Besides you, two (restiv5151_0 and colingra_wood) are sockpuppet account created to make false replies here to make it look like niceasicminer.com is a legit site, yet we all know the red flags pointing it to be a scam.

Hi all! I'm Jay and I created https://asic.guide/ and this scenario is the perfect reason why I created the site. As a reseller and hosting operator myself (I'm based in Thailand and Laos), I have to deal with Chinese suppliers all the time and trust is a big issue.  So my friends and I feel that there is a need and we created ASIC.guide to try to solve the issue. We want the site to be the place where buyers can do research and make a better informed decisions on manufacturers, distributors and resellers.  Verification is one of the highest priority for us, but we are still trying to figure out how to best do it. We are thinking about adding a verified warehouse so that we can help confirm that they really do operate (or else they won't be renting out warehouses) vs they just do drop ship (and you could have buy directly from someone else). I'd like to know that in this situation for niceasicminer, what kind of info/intel do you think would be best in order to make an informed decision? Obviously asking the seller themselves won't solve it.  But what if we have their 'verified warehouse'? Or 'pictures of proven shipments'? Any kind of feedback would be welcomed as we add more features to the site. In this situation, I think our resellers list is the most relevant: https://asic.guide/resellers.  We are continually adding resellers to try to cover all geographies. You can also try our distributors list: https://asic.guide/distributors.  But most likely they will have MOQs or doesn't have a specialized logistics route. Thanks guys!

The first thing you would probably need to do is not accept new websites and new resellers that have been around for just a month unless it's a spin-off from some big company that already has some kind of large-scale business. The second and easiest way is a live video stream with the owner, if he wants that to be listed, he can spare 5 minutes with a call from their warehouse, and you can't really fake that. Also, something like a third thing, do check the ones you have listed and add a few remarks for things that have changed between the time you added them and now, cause companies like ComputeNorth for example have filed for chapter 11 and already sold 2 datacenters as they owe half a billion, a tiny details some might be more interested in that anything else. The same for Minerva, it missed completely all deliveries to Stronghold and they are part in the lawsuit investors have filed against the company.

Wow, those are very insightful thank you! 1) Yes, just to explain a bit more of the current companies listed, since I've been selling miners and hosting miners since 2017 (I co-founded Cryptodrilling.com).  The companies that I listed are kind of pre-vetted, meaning they do that business operations.  But sooner or later those kind of companies will run out and I will definitely need to have a way to screen out scammy companies out of the potential listed companies. 2) Your point for live video stream is really good and I will definitely keep that in mind when we start to list companies that I haven't heard or worked with before. 3) Your point on recent updates like Compute North, MinerVa (and also Compass Mining) are legitimate and it's something that is on our radar as well.  I still decided to list them because I think they still have operations and assets.  But there has been some big changes like you mentioned.  Currently I have a few potential solutions: - Add news section => I either have to have someone manually pick out some news that is of importance as list it there and point it to the real article.  At least visitors to my website can at least the latest movements of the companies they are doing research on.  (The issue being not all companies will have this section, but having it for certain companies is good for research purposes) - Add review section => Technically it can be done but my worry is that it can be abused and it will end up with a lot of fake reviews.  So I'm still a bit hesitant, lol. But thank you so much for your insights! We will definitely take these and discuss it with our team.  Thanks!

I have added the updates as you mentioned for these two companies here: Minerva and Compute North. I will be combing through other companies to see if there are any newsworthy posts that should be added to the 'Update' section.  If the update is significant and the community wants it, we might move it to its own dedicated section.  Cheers!
