issues compiling on wsl Ubuntu for GekkoScience usb miners

Hey folks, I’m pretty new to mining, but I’ve always found charts and tools super interesting. I just discovered the GekkoScience Compac F’s, and I was really intrigued by the advertised 350gh/s for just $200 each, so I decided to grab two. I haven’t received them yet, but I’m trying to compile some tweaks that I found from a few devs on GitHub. I want to make the most out of these sticks. I went deep into GitHub even though I don’t know any coding, and I managed to set up and upgrade WSL Ubuntu on Windows 11. I’ve looked around this forum and noticed some common issues from other users, but mine seems to be different. I got partway through the guide, and when it came to compiling cgminer/mxe.sh, I hit a brick wall. Not sure if I’m typing the commands wrong or if there’s something else going on. I followed this source: https://github.com/wareck/cgminer-gekko/archive/refs/tags/8c56556.zip using the windows-build.txt. I did everything right except for this section: ** Fetch MXE and build the libraries needed for cgminer: cd cgminer/mxe.sh mxe cd mxe/ ** The versions of MXE after build-2020-06-06 won’t compile cmake on WSL. ** You can ignore this line if they fix that: git checkout build-2020-06-06 ** This compiles the mxe code needed might take a few hours on WSL... ** It also downloads all the packages necessary for building: ../cgminer/mxe.sh b I’m stuck after those two steps and can’t get it to compile.

That's an old version of cgminer and I never heard of that source before the link you provided above is not a guide but a direct download link. If you are using Windows 11 with installed WSL would you mind to follow the guide from Kano.is how to compile cgminer?
