I've been having a rough time getting my Terminus A2X set up for BCH mining. CGMiner wouldn’t kick off no matter how I tweaked the settings in the Custom Command line. Power supply seems good, Wi-Fi’s up, but the only thing that worked was updating the CGMiner driver. Here’s the kicker... I’m not really into Linux. I’m more of a Windows and network security person. I couldn’t find a .bat file anywhere on the SSD or anything related to the CGMiner driver.
I followed instructions from this link: https://github.com/wareck/cgminer-gekko
Downloaded and tried to use Zadig, but that messed up my laptop’s USB connections. My mouse, both wireless and the built-in touchpad, stopped responding. I had to uninstall all USB devices through the Device Manager and reboot. Eventually, I deleted all CGMiner and Zadig files, uninstalling USB devices again and restarting to get everything back to normal. Thankfully, this laptop is my wife's, and I’m using it while I invade her she-shed to set up this miner.
Based on suggestions from another thread, I tested the A2X with Bitcoin, and it’s running smoothly, hashing away without a hitch.
Unless someone can dumb down the CGMiner issue for me like I’m five, this miner is going to stick with BTC while I give a MagicMiner BG02 a shot for BCH.
Thanks for bearing with me.
Issues with Gekkoscience Terminus A2X for Bitcoin Cash mining

FYI Zadig is only needed for gekko USB miners. The Terminus only uses web access via your network.
As bizmax said in the other thread, use Stratum. Don't think cgminer supports http links anymore.
Edit: I just caught that you did not get cgminer from Kano's site... Kano is the sole remaining primary developer of cgminer (-ck was the other one but stopped all support for it long ago). His github repo is here https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer
That is the ONLY site to be used as it is the only one that has his latest updates including full support for all Geko miners (Kano wrote all of the drivers for the latest generations of Bitmain chips). All other sites are usually at best several versions behind.
More to the point is that the Terminus is a stand alone miner with a complete OS running on a PiZero and cgminer in it along with custom GUI done by IamGPIO.
Thank you! I will test it again and ensure I use the stratum.
Merit given for getting back to us and being clear on what the issue was.
FYI you can use a USB-C to LAN adapter for a much better wired connection. Think mine cost like $8 from Amazon.
Good idea on the USB-C to LAN. Though now I am having a power issue with the A2X. Hashed fine last night but this morning the Watts dropped to 5 and the hash took a nosedive, taking it offline with Ocean. Adjusted the volts and stuff, not overclocked, and restarted everything. Watts and hash rose quickly to normal levels, then died again. Then the A2X screen went off and I lost connectivity to the A2X Terminus Dashboard. Unplugged, waited 5 minutes and restarted. Still nothing but a few blinky lights inside and slow fan movement.
So, either the stock cheapy power supply it came with is borked or I need to reflash the SD card. Or both.
From my limit experience so far...

Pop over to the Discord link I gave. Sidehack (founder of gekkoscience) should pick up on it pretty quickly. https://discord.com/channels/457139201092091915/901294550260269068
That is the gekko channel on Kano's Discord server. There is a Discord invite link to join his server in my signature. Be aware that Kano's channels are for BTC only. No altcoin discussions allowed. That said, yours are hardware issues as well as the need to use Stratum which applies to most if not all sha256 mining based on cgminer.
Fun Fact: cgminer has long been hacked by the mfgrs to suit their needs and in one form or another is what >90% of all miners use. That includes all SHA256 alts.
With default settings the GUi should report around 80w power usage and the PSU Gekko directly supplies is rated 150w.
Query: who did you buy it from?
I ordered it direct from Gekkoscience.com
