Honestly, the main thing that sets Bitcoin apart is its mining process. It demands a ton of resources time, cash, and energy just to mint one bitcoin.
Don’t forget some altcoins use Proof of Work too. But yeah, premined ones are a big red flag. Always do your homework on those.

When you see a new alt project, just ask: why not use Bitcoin? The answer is usually they’re just trying to cash in on your investment.

Totally agree with you. Bitcoin has this unique Proof of Work system that's hard to replicate. Other networks like Ethereum have different methods.
Satoshi never really worked on Bitcoin Core. That whole branding came later. And if the devs mess up, it could create huge issues for everyone relying on it.

Yeah, Satoshi dropped the original software and since then, there’s been other clients. Still, they’re pretty much following Core.
But those other clients can’t just fix issues independently. They just copy from Core and that could lead to problems in the future.

It’s obvious altcoins often try to downplay Bitcoin. They want to be the new Bitcoin, but they’re just not. Bitcoin's always gonna be at the top.

Scams are everywhere in crypto. But, yeah, Bitcoin has this undeniable value that altcoins can’t touch. It's just different.

#10Jan 31, 2025, 05:29 PM Some altcoins like Litecoin have capped supplies, but people still don’t trust them like Bitcoin. It’s all about transparency with Bitcoin.

#11Jan 31, 2025, 06:16 PM I think fixed supply is cool, but it’s not the whole story. Bitcoin's utility is unmatched, especially in crisis situations.
J#12Jan 31, 2025, 06:23 PM You gotta admit, some altcoins have fixed supplies and still manage to create hype with buyback and burn strategies. It’s clever.
D#13Jan 31, 2025, 06:43 PM True that. Bitcoin set the standard. It’s the OG crypto, while altcoins are just scrounging for that same respect.

#14Jan 31, 2025, 06:45 PM A lot of altcoins don’t have the same ideals. Some do, like SOL and ETH, but a lot are just jumping on the bandwagon.
T#15Jan 31, 2025, 06:48 PM Many altcoins are centralized and can be manipulated, while Bitcoin stands strong as decentralized. That’s a huge difference.
M#16Jan 31, 2025, 06:52 PM Remember when Bitcoin mining was easy? Now, it’s way more complex and resource-heavy. But it’s that uniqueness that really sets it apart.

#17Jan 31, 2025, 07:31 PM Bitcoin has a legacy that altcoins just can’t match. It’s respected in institutional circles and that counts for a lot.

#18Jan 31, 2025, 07:35 PM Sure, altcoins can be fun to trade, but the reality is most people lose money. Bitcoin remains the safest bet in the long run.
N#19Jan 31, 2025, 07:53 PM It’s wild how many folks get rekt in altcoin trading. Bitcoin is like gold, while altcoins are just shiny rocks.
K#20Jan 31, 2025, 08:32 PM Some altcoins might have cool features, but Bitcoin is still the foundation. It's going to be hard for anything to really compete.
