Finally got my S19 Pro and it’s just a few days old. I’m facing an issue, not with the hardware, but with my room setup. It’s super tiny and the miners generate a ton of heat. Is there a cheap way to get rid of it? I looked online for answers, and someone on Reddit suggested a solution, but I’ve been waiting for days to get more info from them and they just vanished. So I figured I’d ask here if anyone knows about the stuff I need. My room has windows, and I’m open to using that to vent the heat out. I need names for (1) and (2), plus where I can buy them.

The Iceriver Miner KS5 Antminer S19 Double Fan Duct Shroud item, which was listed on eBay, was the source of the image you provided, according to my internet research. Go to the about item, and you'll see the image you provided. However, you need to understand how eBay trading works so you won't be a victim of a fake seller or an ineligible product.

Unfortunately I don't live in the USA, shipping those items down to my country will cost more than the items themselves, I have looked into a electronics store nearby and I have seen what I needed, base on the names you dropped, I got them finally. I will place the order in few hours, thanks for helping out.

I understand that you are not concerned about the noise problem in the room?

Do you think he’d be living in the same room he’s mining coins in 😁

Affirmative, I already see 4 inches and 8 inches on the market place, I had to do my own research to know that 4 inches can't size my Asic miner, tbanks,. The Zeus cooling fan looks good by the way, tell me, can this limit the noise of s19 too? I think it does, I will have to get it later then because the heat is my top issue to fix right now, thanks again.

I myself slept in a room with GPU farms several times, and if I’m tired, I can even sleep very well

When Asics/Gpus produce heat then they might not be good for oxygen around you that’s what I think, I slept near a laptop i mined coins in I mined on Minergate they didn’t paid my mined coins but asked for ID and asked me to register on their exchage which both I did they stoped answering me after that. I didn’t feel very good during the mining process because of heat of fans were sending and there was a lack of oxygen in the room.

I think you're exaggerating about the harm. Lack of fresh air can be solved by opening a window. Sleeping next to the equipment all the time can lead to health problems. I never use pools that require registration, even those that require an email address. I'm too lazy to do it. Newbies look for easy solutions and end up scammed.

I think cryptocurrency mining in hostels is a well-known issue. If the administration finds out about it, they can legally kick the unscrupulous tenant out. And the equipment could be stolen. In Russia, dealing with such "smarts miners" is very simple. The administration will confiscate the equipment when you're not there, and you won't even be able to prove they were there. Using such equipment is illegal, and if the use wasn't approved by the administration, it means the equipment wasn't there. The police and hostel administration will laugh at you.

Wanted to post this a day before yesterday but the phone having a problem and isn't charging.. using someone else's phone atm.. When I mined the coins I did it on a laptop gaming one to be specific.. had a gtx 1050.. the laptop was taking around 90w electricity during the mining process and at night.. Everyone was allowed to use laptops even at night, there was also a yearly electricity quota given to students beyond that they will hand an electricity bill if you cross that.. I mined for a month or so then stopped.. There wasn't any specific rules surrounding mining with laptop at the I don’t know if there are now or not (This almost a decade ago) Though there were rules of not using CPU computers and Inductions (for cooking).. I am quite sure I am on the safe side here. Maybe it's happening in Russia but where I studied rules weren't that strict like taking possessions of hardware (Maybe I didn't use the hardware those were not allowed so I don’t know what would've had happened)..

In Russia, no one likes the most cunning and impudent people I even saw a funny story where someone rented a hotel room and set up a mining rig there. He ended up staying there for practically nothing. As a result, he lost his equipment. Ten years ago, there were a lot of interesting stories and electricity was cheap. Now, it's very difficult to replicate that.

Minergate was a scam, even while it was functioning the hashrate a normal device will display on Nicehash or other pool will be cut in half by minergate, their platform works in a shady way, I lost some coins on the website too but I am glad that I never put in more efforts with my hashing power.
