akminer.com
anyone had experience with them lately?
minefarmbuy.com anyone placed an order recently?
I've got a friend wanting to spend around 40-60k on equipment.
While I haven't used any of them in the past, at least the name "akminer" has crossed my eyes more than once. I managed to gather some feedback from it:
According to this source - reddit user over at EtherMining - there was some problems communicating with them after that China bust some time ago. But he later updated the original thread saying that he later managed to get in touch with the website, got a tracking code and eventually received his order (with a wrong PSU I believe).
Better than that, I also found a thread of information right here in the forum - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5304803. I would say the reviews were mixed, but it seems that some members actually did placed some orders and got back their products. They are also listed as a trusted dealer over at ASICMinerValue.com[1]
Regarding this one I really can't be sure - I haven't managed to find any reliable information on the quick Reddit search that I did. However I believe they've got a profile setup right here at bitcointalk[2] and albeit small trust score, they've got a decent amount of merit - however they haven't logged in from last April 21st.
Hoping someone can add more useful information than me regarding past (and recent) experiences with them OP.

About Mine Farm Buy, it's registered in Oregon, and only the Director Mr. Ryan Christopher Ellis is visible on opencorporate, but seemed the info is very obscure, even without a local address or phone number. If not necessary or cannot get a professional support, do not go.

for the record minefarmbuy and I got together and had multiple emails back and forth I ended up making 40k in orders from the date of this thread all gear arrived new and in working order.
so I can now vouch for them. I have not found any good info on akminer since I did this thread.
Or bad info for that matter.
Oh hey Phil. I've been doing business with MFB for a few years now, never had any problems. That's mostly supply side but Ellis also helps me source some materials, USB cables and the like. Done more than $40k in business overall, all good.
