Anyone got experience with myNode? I grabbed a model two, which is this mini PC with myNode software installed. I thought setting it up would be a breeze and that it would have support for a pool like Umbrel. Turns out I was mistaken. It doesn't work with public pools like Benjamin-wilson, Bassin, or ckpool. Their tech support, which wasn't very helpful, mentioned that they support Datum, this public beta version. I got it set up, but my miner only scores a share every 15 minutes. Super slow. I'm not a Linux whiz, but I can follow detailed instructions. I think I managed to install Datum from the myNode marketplace okay. If someone wants to do a screen share on Teams or Webex or something, I'm game. I can throw in a little something for your time. Appreciate any help!

I think Datum treats mining as a secondary feature, but you should be able to configure it and force its difficulty, thus improving its performance. However, if this doesn't work, you should be able to install public pools via SSH, avoiding reliance on the plug-and-play functionality of the marketplace. I want to clarify that I read that myNode has formed a commercial or development alliance with Datum. It's not that your Mini PC can't run other pools; it's that they aren't interested in supporting third-party software that isn't integrated into their main panel.

It should be possible, but you must use linux terminal to install it by yourself. That should be impossible, since DATUM itself is about mining protocol. It's more likely OP's problem is caused by the DATUM software still is in beta version[1]. [1] https://github.com/OCEAN-xyz/datum_gateway/releases/tag/v0.4.1beta

When I say that mining seems like a secondary feature, I'm referring to the software's approach. If you go to the official website and see how it's advertised, Datum presents itself as a management gateway. What I mean is that it's more focused on the infrastructure and hosting of the block logic than on the raw mining process itself, so the user can regain the control they previously ceded to the pool. This is why he perceive that slowness. The software isn't yet capable of adjusting the difficulty, as the pool would, and must do so manually based on their ASIC.

That's actually true.  They said that they only support Datum.  They don't support anything else.  I really buying their model 2 which is like an all in one box.  I had the impression that as a bitcoin node, I can easily spun a solo mining pool.  They said they dont support public pool or CKpool or Bassin.  I'm like , why do you even sell your app?  Who buys their box and just spun a bitcoin node and just watch bitcoin node.  I tried to install Datum and I noticed that my miners from bitaxe to Nerdoctaxe are slow in getting shares but if I connect to other pools., it gets shares really fast.  ANy idea?   Also, if I have this myNode bitcoin node running with Datum and my miners are pointing to my node local IP, am I solo mining?  I went to Datum which even complicates things (for me) and they connecto Ocean.xyz... smh.... I looked my wallet there and it seems like it is getting btc daily like mining.....so, am I not doing solo or lottery mining?
