Hey everyone! Hope you're all rolling in it! So, I just got a call from a power company that's planning to set up a mining hotel. They’re looking to kick things off with about 10MW and then scale it up pretty quickly. They already have some buildings ready for use, and you can check them out here: https://youtu.be/VbW3fngQB2Q A few of them are gonna need some cleaning out. We’ll need to do some work with the walls to get proper ventilation. The plan is to have air coming in at ground level, install some filters, and then place the miners on the first and second floors with exhaust fans up against the walls. I know there are some creative minds here, so if you have any ideas especially on automation please share! Happy to chat here or set up a Zoom call. I’m planning to handle all the software stuff with my team since I haven’t found any solid solutions for mass troubleshooting of miners without needing someone to step in personally. Ventilation and power automation options seem pretty available already, though. Would love to hear your thoughts! UPDATE 1 (2021-DEC-24): We just got our first miners set up in the building: https://youtu.be/O4VCHQ08kMI This room should be able to handle about 1/2 MW.

Looks great! Hope you hire a licensed electrician this time so that this farm doesn't catch a flame! Good luck on your business ventures.

Thanks, it was not related to anyone being licensed, even proven technical solutions fail sometimes. This time we will have a slightly different setup.

Interesting concept for sure but I would like to see how they can pay for that electric bill plus guests usage and still be profitable enough to stay in business, especially in a bear market.  I like the idea and I think you could pull it off for sure I would just ensure the financials make sense.

One of the mining hotel locations is being built right now: Other locations are in the process to have existing buildings remodeled and mining containers installed. At this point we were able to acquire all the necessary equipment within acceptable time frames and we hope that virus won't spoil the fun. Will update this thread later with more content.

Some flights with equipment from China got delayed. Assembling the first room in the building at the smaller location. This power plant is capable of providing only up to 4 MWh. It will have a few rooms like this and containers outside. And here is a video of the first container: https://youtu.be/hl-NKTJaBPE https://youtu.be/roDPqPyFNTw Actually, setting up such mining hotels is an interesting job. You get to meet variety of people - from construction workers to the fund managers who want to invest. And you have to know how to properly speak with both types of people to get what you need. If anyone wants to share their experience - please do so, I also want to learn best practices from others.

You perhaps meant to say 4MW (MegaWatts)?. MW is the the measure of power capacity available at any point in time whereas MWh is MegaWatt/hours which is a measure of total power usage over time (hours)...

Mining is not easy as many people think and is very difficult to have mining farm as private, because if it's easy it would have be every where, the picture in background is showing that the farm is large and i appreciate it very well.

Since there will be a whole lot of heat in there, how about the  cooling system ? It seems to be a cold out there though. You want more of power information you said ?

We are fine with cooling - it will all be handled by fans. I am looking into routine automation platforms for miming, and actually already found some.

As of now, everything is going well, thanks for asking. Because of sanctions, this mining farm is able to make the prices even lower than before. Probably some of the cheapest in the world for the industrial scale mining. And there is no need for swift, thanks to Bitcoin! UPD: This post is not about finding clients. Just as it says in the description - I am looking to learn about the innovative Mining Hotel management solutions and share progress.

Terrible decisions coming from Russia lately, their market will crash and burn once all the restrictions on foreigners are removed.

Hello Everyone! Please keep your political opinions off this topic, as this is not something discussed here and there are other threads to express your thoughts regarding this matter. At this moment we have the first 5MW available and we began placing clients: Please note that we are fully booked and we are not currently looking for clients in this thread.

I see no PDUs and many small MCBc near the miners, they all look a single-pole so how do you wire the Natural and Ground? can you take a closer picture showing the MCB wiring and explain a bit your set-up?  your setup is kind of similar to mine, I don't use PDUs (want to start using them for better management) and I join the power cord wires together, this is probably against the code for many countries like the U.S so it could scare a few folks away lol.
