As an investor, there are a few important things to keep in mind. First off, understanding your risk tolerance is crucial. You gotta be okay with the possibility of losing money. Only put in what you can afford to lose, not your life savings or borrowed cash. This is especially key for newbies. Do your own research too. Stay updated on Bitcoin trends, check out sites like CoinMarketCap or Coin Telegraph. Know why you're investing beyond just following the herd. Start off small and take it slow. Try investing a manageable amount so you’re not wrecked if the market shifts. Once you get the hang of it, you can gradually increase your investment as you grow more comfortable. Also, set some rules for yourself. Don’t let emotions dictate your trades. Decide in advance the prices at which you want to buy or sell. Stay informed but don’t obsess over the market. Setting alerts for weekly updates is a good strategy. Join supportive crypto communities on platforms like Twitter, Telegram, or Facebook. It's helpful to seek advice from a trusted financial advisor instead of blindly following influencers. All of this will help you manage that fear that comes with investing.

There are so many factors that makes some crypto investors fail at making profits from the market. Some people have been built on the wrong kind of mindset. The kind of mindset that believes in quick profits, short term gains but they fail to see that such approach of the market usually leave you in losses. Every crypto investor can not have the same success story so just because your friends are making it quick from the market doesn't mean you as well will do same in a short period. You have to build a good mindset that would guide you in any market conditions. Accept your losses and invest only what you can loss..

Bitcoin is like a digital asset, but if you intend to trade it, you need to be consistent as a business man and trader. Personally I think altcoin is a trading part only to grow up real crypto BTC!

The best way to manage fear is to face it. You cannot call yourself and investor if you are scared to take risk. I mean calculated risk, because some kinds of risk aren't worth the time. The need for learning as the first step is important not just thinking and rushing into trading or becoming a Bitcoin investor without any knowledge of the best practices and risk management skills to have inorder to efficiently execute and be successful at it. Do your own research is the saying for this and it is meant exactly as said. Lastly, the only way to grow thick skin over any loss is to actually take action and execute a trade or savings plan like DCA and learn from the experience of market volatilities and speculation making your assets drop in value all of a sudden. When you have more than an experience doing the work, you would naturally outgrow the fear of investing in Bitcoin which has proven beyond doubts its authenticity and value as the number one crypto currency in the world and great hedge against inflation.

Any investor feels the fear of losing especially if he is new to the investment, or he is still less knowledgeable on the kind of investment he decides to venture. I guess the only way he'll be able to manage his fear is to know his investment well, be aware of its risks and how to combat them, and most importantly, learn to invest on what you can afford to lose. There is no room for greed in any investment, because that is the reason why your emotions takes control of your mind, when it should be mind over emotions.

Lost bitcoins as if stolen? Or lost value when the price goes down? In first case, you just need to learn some basic rules, like the one that you don't use the device used for payments to download torrents, or watch porn. Just buy a NEW hardware wallet from a legit source and it's over. People often criticize Ledger as one of the least safe hardware wallets out there, but I've had one for more than 6 years with no issues, so I dare to say even the cheapest hardware wallet is more secure than holding coins on exchanges. In the second case, invest the amount you're completely comfortable with. If you see bitcoin go down by 10% and it gets you in a bad mood, it means you've invested too much. Reduce the investment up to a point where you no longer care. For one person it will be $100k, for the other $1k, but at some point you will be able to forget about it and that's the sum you start your bitcoin journey with. It's funny but when I had just $10k in bitcoin I was more worried about the price than when I had $100k.

It is simple. Before anyone decides to invest in bitcoin, he should make sure that he understands what he is getting himself involved in and what he intends to invest in. Bitcoin is volatile and also risky as a result of the volatility. Anyone who sees bitcoin as a get-rich-quick scheme will get so disappointed if he suddenly experiences severe dips he never bargained for. This is why most newbies fail. With proper understanding of Bitcoin, the investor will understand the level of risks involved and also help him draft out a proper plan for his investment.

You must have a reasonable kind of expectation whenever you pursue an investment. Just because you invested money does not guarantee any positive results on your end. Like any other kind of venture, effort, time, and patience are required in order to maximize your profits and tailor it to your desired outcome. Having the right kind of mindset can also significantly guide you along your journey in an investment route. If you are too quick to purchase an investment, specifically in cryptocurrency, where you failed to do your research because you followed others, then results may be the opposite of what you expected. In conclusion, being lucky in an investment means countless of hours studying the market and being at the right opportunity when luck presents itself. While this may seem to be short, it fully encapsulates an investment as a whole. Going all-in without retaining part of your money for extra allowance is a bad move that can roll downhill fast. Lots of stories have been shared in this forum where they went all-in on some altcoins and it ended up being very disastrous to the point that it affected their lifesavings.

Investing money that is ready to be invested is an important thing to do because the bitcoin market is very volatile and can change quickly, and if someone invests the money he needs immediately then when he needs the money he will think about selling his assets even in a losing position. This will make him unable to maximize investment growth potential because he is unable to build his portfolio over the long term and continues to sell at an unprofitable position. The investment should be by using money that is ready to be allocated in the long term, not with money for daily needs, let alone money obtained from loans because that will only cause emotional stress and financial risk.

I think one of the most important part you said and imo a lot of people ignore is the media noise / bs coming from influencers. 9 out of 10 crypto guru lives by the fake it until you make it approach and are capable of anything without restraint in order to deceive the less informed. And oh man I wonder how many people have fallen for these people's tricks or did something wrong because of their influence. And these people have not only gained a foothold in crypto, but also in e-commerce for example, and everyday influencers too are now tend to advertise any crap product or service for pocket money. It's incredibly difficult to resist, given how many people sing their praises (or fake it, because that's possible also), and even your closest friends may be following X and Y and promoting them to you how great they are.

Any new investor that wants to start his crypto journey should avoid trading because that is where the mistake comes from. Think about long-term bitcoin investment and have that mindset before starting your Bitcoin investment. Set a bitcoin target to accumulate and only buy with your discretionary income whenever, it's available. Don't forget to set up an emergency funds to take care of unforeseen circumstances that might come your way as you DCA. If you use the amount of money that you can afford to lose to buy regularly weekly or monthly, provided you don't sell before the completion of one circle, you will be fine. Increase your knowledge on bitcoin and wallet security along the line.

If you are investing money , the basic principle is almost same. First you have to set up your mind that you are not a trader. You are investor. How much you should invest ? The amount you can lose emotionally. then wait for at least a decade. Do not check the price on daily basis. Make a clear goal, the reason you want to invest into BTC. Then set up strategy. Like in a month, try to book some profits if Possible and Hold them as Stable or Fiat , So you can DCA, if needed. And Diversify your investment into 3 or 4 projects and keep biggest share in BTC. Do not rely on 1 job/ business or invest into multiple niche. Do gardening, spend some time for hobby, touch some grass and Enjoy.

Bitcoin is not an investment because there is no guarantee that its price will go up. It can very well reach one million dollars, just as it could go to zero. Bitcoin is a tool of freedom that revolutionized money as we know it. It is a censorship-resistant and government-theft-resistant tool. Bitcoin is sovereignty, it is freedom. Therefore, if you use bitcoin thinking in terms of dollars, you are just a speculator.

Fear when investing in volatile assets is quite natural, but if managed properly, following the key points you outlined, investments can run smoothly. I personally always prioritize the principle of only investing with money you can afford to lose and prioritizing long-term goals. Another simple but important tip is not to constantly monitor the market, as this can lead to fear when the market reverses. And always remember that patience is key with Bitcoin.

its becoming very similar to any stock that has been around for 10+ years.. delta could go bankrupt tomorrow if it didn't get a bailout but the gov will do it... I would imagine bitcoin would get a bailout as well from the bigger players

Joining a group or having people you can talk to about your fears can be of huge help to a new investor like you. When you talk to others who actually understand your fears and insecurity because they know what you are involved with, their discussion with you will be encouraging because they will motivate you, you hope.  Fear is not an abnormal feeling to have after investment; almost every investor has experienced it at one time while investing, but not all have allowed it to affect them. The understanding that the fear you feel is not peculiar to you alone can encourage you to beat that fear.

Well, it is always good to start small, but many people start small and think that they have completely understood the market with little risk. This is where the erroneous is, the market is never fully under control and if the confidence is high, the potential loss is high. I would say it is definitely necessary to invest only with money that you can afford to lose but it is more important to know your limits. Again there are many people who make investments in trading using loans. In my opinion this is the most stupid thing. So do not think of trading as gambling, Investing is not just a game of numbers, it is also a process of understanding yourself.

Feeling afraid is human, because they don't want to lose so it's natural to have such fear, especially beginners. Investing in bitcoin is high volatility ... like rollercoster price increases, although not entirely so but still for them as new investors there is always a sense of fear when prices are falling. But indeed when you understand about how the market works, risk management, self-control ... all that fear will fade over time with their experience, especially those who already know how to invest in bitcoin, so don't be afraid if the price drops just HODL later it will also go up again even though it requires long patience.

I think the best way is to manage your investment, and also invest from your discretionary income which is a money that you can afford to loose, and an investor should also have it at the back of his mind to focus more attention on buying more bitcoin little by little and that will help more in terms of sustainability of our investment, and also trying to have some backup funds which will actually help in keeping our investments more safe. I think if we are able to focus more on buying bitcoin with our discretionary income instead of using money that is meant for paying our basic expenses, because some individual uses money that is meant for paying basic need to invest, then when some life challenges comes they end up panicking and selling there Bitcoin because they didn’t plan very well, having a good plan is very good and essential in terms of buying bitcoin.
