Hey everyone,
I'm really new to this whole bitcoin thing. I was checking out the info on bitcoin.org for some learning vibes.
I downloaded the Bitcoin Core version v22.0.0 for Windows 10 with 8GB RAM. It’s taking a while to sync all 7 years of data. I saw that you can mine using the command "generatetoaddress" in the console.
Could anyone break down the basics for me and explain how to mine using Bitcoin Core? I’d really appreciate any links or articles you have about it.
Thanks a lot!
P.S. I’m just mining on my PC to figure out how it all works, how to do it, and what the potential earnings could be. I’m just after some resources or a guide.

Before you can able to mine BTC with a PC but right now it won't.
If you want to mine BTC you will need ASIC machines like Antminer s9 it's simple and easy to set up if you have them.
Read this "First time/Small miner reference for getting started." now if you decided to continue and want to mine BTC you can buy them directly on manufacturer's or verified distributor check this list https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5045732.0
About setup or how to configure your own miner, I think you can check this profile https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=348185 under his signature you can find all guides/reviews you can use them as a reference depending on what ASIC machine you bought.
