i'm confused about why I can't create receiving addresses... here's the screenshot: https://www.kohaku.fr/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Capture-decran-du-2025-01-12-20-07-17.png using bitcoin core 27.1.0 on Ubuntu 22.04LTS.

Your wallet is likely blank and thus can't provide receive addresses. I created a blank wallet with my Bitcoin Core 28.0.0 and in the lower left corner with the indicator symbols the HD is striked like yours (I quoted your picture for visability): When I open the Console window of Bitcoin Core and execute  getwalletinfo  for my test wallet, I get this: If your wallet has  "blank": true,  "keypoolsize": 0  and  "keypoolsize_hd_internal": 0, then your wallet is empty of keys. How did you create your wallet, what options did you tick?

Well when i create my wallet i asked an empty wallet and encrypted. That's that, i must not ask an empty wallet, I've just create one without this option and it worked.

May I ask why you created a "blank" wallet in the first place? The option for a blank (empty) wallet isn't ticked by default, so you must have chosen this option very likely yourself. I hope you don't mind me asking further, I'm curious why you chose to mark "blank" when you later needed your wallet to provide you with at least one or more receiving addresses? Pay attention to document well your wallet encryption passphrase. It's easy to forget when you don't need the wallet encryption passphrase for a long time. I assume you didn't opt to setup your new wallet without encryption, when you want to receive coins to addresses of your new wallet.

Everybody here was a noob at some point of time. We learn, we evolve, hopefully. I would suggest that you close your topic to avoid further unnecessary posts as you marked your question as solved. Enjoy your journey in this forum and some mining experience with your S9i. Wish you luck and cheap energy for it.
