Hey all,
I’m looking for some advice from seasoned miners who have their own setups.
I’ve got a chance to grab a warehouse that’s 90m² in size. It has two windows on each side, which I can use to create airflow. There’s about 350KW of power available.
I’m planning to fit in around 100 S19 miners. The temperature here varies from 0 to 15 degrees throughout the year.
Do you think 90m² is enough for 100 S19 units, or is that pushing it?
Also, for the mainboard, should I go with a 16A breaker for each S19 or a 32A one for every two units?
Thanks a ton for your help!

Need a lot more information but probably not enough space and airflow.
How large are the windows? Can you but in large loud high speed fans?
What is the average humidity? Higher humidity will cause issues if you are just opening the windows rather then running the air through some form of chiller.
Design of the space? An open square is different to cool then a long rectangle.
Ceiling height (heat rises spacing the miners out will help a bit)
Will you need sound baffles? What is nearby that may cause problems due to the noise of 100 miners screaming away.
And so on. The forum can only get you so far, you will need a talk to a local architect and engineer to get the rest of the way.

you can't run 100 units.
you can run 80-90.
350 x 80 percent = 280 kwatts once you derate for safety.
280/3 = 93
that is assuming every s19 uses 3kwatts. that is a fair assumption.
cooling is complex. but a s19 pushes about 450-500 cfm
90 x 500 = 45000 cfm minimum exhaust.
three of these would work/

https://www.globalindustrial.com/p/hessaire-48-belt-drive-box-fan-48x750s-n-1hp-1ph-19210-cfm-with-shutter?
and two of these for intake.

90-m2 is 900 square feet or 30 by 30 foot room
if you have room for the 3x 48 inch exhaust fans on 1 wall
and room for intake air at least 4 x 48 inch square I would think you can cool it.

USE WASHABLE AIR FILTERS LIKE THESE
https://www.cartergoods.com
how to wire by 16amp do you mean a 20 amp derated to 16 amp for 24/7/365 use.
as 16 x 240 = 3840 watts derate to .8 x 3840 = 3072 you would be borderline.
here in USA we use
a 20 amp. so 20 x 240 = 4800 watts derate by .8 = 3840 watts and no issues.
I do recommend separate circuits for each unit.
if you do 2 to one 40 amp you could have one unit shut off and not pull power while the other shorts and pulls 40 x 240 = 9600 watts
Wow quick response! Below some more details.
Windows are 1,5Mx1,5M
Humidity is 80% but cold air
Space is an open square.
Ceiling is at 7m high.
Nothing nearby so no need of sound baffles
Many thanks for your help.

Wow amazing, thanks.

Does the gears has to be just in one vertical line?
I've got an airflow sizing calculator up on this article
https://altairtech.io/designing-a-bitcoin-mining-facility-airflow-management/
It is complex, but as a rule of thumb about 1 sqft per s19 is a good estimate. So for 100 miners you'd need 100 sqft or 10 m2. If your windows do not have enough surface area, you can increase air intake area by creating awning based intakes (details in article).
You have humid and cold air, so you'll have to allow for some backflow to prevent condensation.
As far as filters go, here's a supplier we have used for a while https://www.hoodfilters.com/20-x-20-x-1-ez-kleen-mesh-supply-intake-filter-912.html
The only thing I would think about is an alternative like a mining container. Mining is becoming illegal or toxic in many countries, and my colleagues have experienced similar problems. They found new mining locations but regretted not buying containers because it is cheaper than adapting multiple mining facilities.
Container in term off ease of movement or what, I have seen some mini mining facilities but not a mobile one that can easily be moved to a new location.
I accept there have been several regulations against bitcoin mining that forces miners to relocate but assuming we go by ops space capacity and the amount of device in the space will it be suitable for him to operate in a container that will generate more heat?
100 ASICs is the minimum container that will be convenient for transportation within one country or between neighboring countries. It is designed based on the temperature conditions of the country.
The container costs more if you don't find a used one.
Even in my country, where electricity is abundant and inexpensive, landlords increase the price of electricity because they understand that moving costs will be more expensive for the miner.
In my opinion you should make space double cause more you have space and more you will be handling small incidents like rodents, electrical and other such incidents. And 100 Antminers are a big number and that's why you need more space. You should make your place more and more reliable on natural sources of electricity cause for this you need batteries also. And that's why you will be needing more space too. I think that you should buy a wharehouse than a container. Container is a very less space for such huge miners.
Really nice, 100 ASIC may good a.good choice then, am thinking of getting something portable and mobile for easy movement, not always though but at least once the electricity supply and alternative power sources are available and affordable for a starter.
I am solely considering to mine because of the quest for knowledge and not for the long-term base, so a used one can still be affordable and workable for me.
