I'm working on setting up a node using a Raspberry Pi 5 and I'm looking to try out roninOS. Has anyone managed to get it running successfully? Or am I about to go through all the trial and error myself, lol.

I never try it (i assume you're talking roninOS as part of RoninDojo[1]) on my Raspberry Pi 4. But looking at one of it's documentation, it's stated there's no image for Raspberry Pi[2]. So it looks like you get to have all the fun with version 2.X.

With the 4 yes, with the 5 no.
It *should* work exactly the same, just faster, since they are just running their stuff on top of the Pi OS.
BUT, if they made any assumptions in the installer about it being a 4 you may (doubtful but may) run into some issues.
Had that years ago when trying to install some stuff on a RPi4 that was old and had no idea what it was and just did not install. A 1 line patch by the developers fixed it.
