So, I'm using the Whatsminer M21s 54TH, which has been mining non-stop since October 2019. I haven't cleaned or maintained it at all, and it’s had to work in some pretty crazy heat, hitting 45 degrees Celsius at times. Recently, the back fan gave up, but the miner just kept hashing away without missing a beat. Seriously, I don't get why MicroBT's firmware doesn't seem to care if one out of the two fans stops working.
The back of this miner got so hot it was almost boiling to the touch. We had to wait a bit before we could even handle it. I doubt any Bitmain gear could take that kind of heat, except maybe the old S9s.
If you check the image, you’ll see that some heatsinks were practically blocked, yet there were no issues at all. Even without being a pro, it’s clear that these machines are way tougher than Bitmain's stuff by a long shot.
When I browse the Chinese market, it’s easy to find a ton of used Bitmain gear, but trying to find a Whatsminer is a different story. The Chinese market seems to have caught onto this a long time ago.
Comparing the M21s to the Bitmain 17 series, it’s pretty obvious which one's better. I bet if an S17 were as dusty and only ran with half its fans, it would have failed pretty quickly.

Yet I have had many m20's die from their crap psu. So yes, they run well, but power supplies are also junk. They are bricks now because you can't get the p11 psu's anymore.

Have you asked them for the M20 psu repair or psu replace?
Could there be an issue with your electricity setup? The psu on this gear had more dust than one can imagine, the voltage was far from stable but usually within 190-220v, what is your ac voltage?
By the way, if you are interested in buying them from China i can help you locate some.

i think the p21 psu will work on the m20s
Will a can of compressed air do the cleaning trick without having to turn the miner off?
That'll help with keeping the miner from running that hot by clearing the fan airways.
Will you sell it for scrap now?
I'd say no chance in hell, you need to shut-down the miner before cleaning, when you want to clean the miner, you want to blow from the opposite direction (out > in) since most things that got stuck would have exited if there was enough room/pressure, also you don't want to force spin the fans - you can easily break them, you want to make sure you hold them while blowing so they don't spin.
With that being said, this will only work for the regular dry dust and assuming you give them a good dusting every now and then, but once you leave them be for a long time then things will be sticky, you will need to take the hash boards out and either use a very strong air compressor (of course, not using a can) or using a brush, in fact, depending on the climate, some wet places gets the wet-dust like mud to stick on those heatsinks, it will be very difficult to get it off using just air and a brush is a must.

Hey I would be interested in locating one, or some PSU. I have an M20S, and also a whatsminer D1 which has a P11 on it. The M20S is running full power non-stop, but the D1 is not. Yes I understand the D1 is an altcoin miner but I mine DCR with it paying every day in BTC. The P11 on my D1 is toast, would love to find one. Thanks
https://t.me/minerexpertsales, they will be your best option in terms of availability, I could name a few more Chinese resellers, but miner expert is the best for small orders, the rest expect to deal with other resellers, try to contact Grace, if another employee answers you, tell them you want to talk to Grace, he will probably help you locate them even if she doesn't have them in stock.
With that being said, deal with them at your own risk, I have personally dealt with grace so many times starting from maybe 2017 IIRC.
And what about canaan avalon miner like 1246?
