Are there any open-source seedless crypto wallets available for desktop or web that work like Featherlite, Electrum, or Metamask?
Or at least some multi-sig cold wallets for desktop/browser? I’m looking for multi-sig options that don’t require Google or Apple sign-ins, face ID, or other high-risk failure points. Using Google Auth codes or similar OTP verification seems okay since you can back those up and restore them on a new device without needing to log into a Google account.
Share how long you’ve been using the wallets you recommend and if you faced any issues along the way.
I need a wallet that supports BSC BEP-20, TRC, Polygon, and Sol mainly.
Could you explain what is it you're trying to achieve with the seedless wallets so we can understand better what to suggest? what do you mean by features like MetaMask and Electrum? these wallets are quite different (aside from being open source).
If the issue is that you don't want to hold a seed, there are some alternatives out there that supports backing up to iCloud or google drive.
What i mean is how metamask and electrum both even though seed phrase wallets have desktop/browser capability and easily recoverable on any new device and supports many alt coin chains and can be connected to most DEX's for swap etc
So what I am looking for is something similiar but seedless or multisig that is opensource ideally does not require google/icloud login(as this decreases safety on risk of loosing access to them) and does not require face lock id.
Seedless and multisig are not the same thing. Seedless is risky and you shouldn't use it, as your device will be the only way to redeem coins.
To set up multisig, the easiest options are Sparrow Wallet and BlueWallet, with one or more hardware wallets.
The wallet that seem to check your boxes is Cake wallet (open source, desktop/mobile, supports bitcoin and alts). For the "seedless" part. It does give you a seed, but you can use Proton Drive to back it up according to their documentation.
Now, if by seedless, you're referring to MPC wallets, then that's another story, but as far as I know you would still need something. Biometrics, face ID, social logins like Google, Twitter, etc. in order for you to generate that...but if you also want to avoid those type of wallets as well, then I'm not sure there is an alternative out there whether that's open source or not, do you know one?
Thanks for the suggestions but your wallets suggested doesn't have EVM support see;
Wallet Seedless? Chains Desktop/Browser Multisig Auth
Sparrow No BTC only Desktop Seeds
BlueWallet No BTC/LN Mobile/Web Email/OTP
Seedless wallets are cold wallets and it is created for long term storing purpose, so you will not likely to use them for connecting with decentralized exchanges and seedless wallets itself are risky types but people chose it for convenience.
A multi-crypto wallet is not same as multi signature wallet, you need to understand that. What you are looking is multi crypto wallet that offers mnemonic seeds which help you to restore on any device as necessary. Unstoppable is an option for mobile users.
I am looking for desktop/extension version mainly, I understand your point about cold wallet but what i mainly need is the added security like multi sig/seedless with abilty to connect to dex not just for storage of coins
You just install metamask e.g. chrome and create a new wallet, then back up your browser profile file instead of backing up the seed. It's a seedless by definition.
This is the first time I have heard of this kind of request. I want to clarify what you asked, is it a seedless or backupless wallet ?
I can only suggest you Ready wallet(formerly Argent). It's a seedless wallet. It doesn't req seed, and worked with passkey and multi sig. I've been using it for the ethereum, and its L2 ecosystem (zksync and Starknet). But it doesn't seem support SOL and TRC.
So i think coinbase wallet will fit you well since this MPC wallet is supporting all of blockchains you're mentioning above. The only negative is that this wallet is not supporting multi sig since a few years ago. Available for desktop via extension.
