Seems like a scam gekkoscience.org

I found this site while searching for 'compac f' and honestly, it looks like a total scam. Just a heads up, don't risk your bitcoin with these guys.

The site domain name was created just two weeks ago, it will likely be a scam. If the deposit method can be in crypto, it would be an easy means to scam people. It is good to just use a old and reputed site to buy miners instead of newly created ones that is not having good reputation at all. I will prefer to order miners directly from the manufacturing company if possible, or using a common and old reputable online site for it, especially if I can see official reseller on such site.

Charles-Tim, it's not likely a scam it's guaranteed to be a scam. I run GekkoScience, have since we started in 2013, and I have no idea who's running the linked site. It is 100% a scam.

This website platform is really a scam website I think, because here what appeared on my desktop it can harm our desktop or any other device once anyone try to open this one. So, it is better to stay away from this platform if you don't want to have a problem in the future.

Bumping this because I've heard from a few people in the last few days, it's still around and causing trouble.

Maybe contact gekkoscience if you are a victim of this website so they can take legal actions against this seller. If nobody does anything it will probably around forever and will get probably from time to time somebody that is willing to pay them bitcoins that they will never see again. Stuff like this hurts the bitcoin community a lot but is luckily not as common as it was a few years ago.

It could be useful to not write the website as a link, maybe put it into a code block, maybe even add spaces between the characters so it's not seen by crawlers as some sort of backlink.. Plus it makes it more visible for anybody looking for it.
