So I just got a prompt on my Mac saying:
"Should I let Bitcoin-Qt find devices on local networks? This lets the app discover, connect to, and gather data from devices on your networks."
What do you guys think? Should I hit "Allow" or "Don't Allow"?
Should I let Bitcoin-Qt access local networks?

If you don't allow, you'll unable to use UPnP feature[1] and connect to other Bitcoin node on same local network. Bitcoin Core use UPnP to let your Bitcoin Core accept incoming connection without any additional configuration (e.g. configure port forwarding on your router manually).
