Your odds per terahash are technically the same across solo pools, but the real-world performance can be all over the place. Some pools hit 200%+ luck while others barely scrape by at 40%. A lot of miners don’t even realize there’s a difference until they’ve been on a dry spell for months. We just rolled out a live pool comparison tool on soloblocks.io/pools to help with that. Here’s what you’ll find: Live luck scores for each major solo pool over 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days. Estimates of hashrate showing the total power directed at each pool. Daily earnings in USD based on current BTC prices and block frequency. Stratum connection details including URL, port, and username format for each pool. Tracking over 30 pools like CKPool Solo, OCEAN, Public Pool, FutureBit, Braiins Solo, NiceHash EasyMining, and more. What does "pool luck" mean? Luck = (blocks found ÷ blocks expected) × 100 100% means you’re right on target. 200% indicates you found twice as many blocks as you should have, which is super lucky. 50% means you only found half the expected blocks, which is a rough patch. Keep in mind: Bitcoin mining works like a Poisson process, so every block attempt is its own thing. Just because a pool has been unlucky doesn’t mean it’s due for a win. Luck scores help you see if a pool has active hashrate and solid infrastructure right now. We focus on the 30-day score as the main indicator because shorter time frames (like 24 hours) can be pretty noisy. Isn't "Solo Pool" an oxymoron? You are either mining solo, or you are mining with a pool, it can't be both.

no you can be on a solo pool as it only pays the person that hit the block. Many years ago after a lot of begging from myself and others ck made a solo pool that has paid out full blocks to many winners including my self

FWIW, you can self-host your Bicoin full node and mining pool, then configure your ASIC to connect to your self-hosted pool. Although people usually choose to use solo mining pool such as https://solo.ckpool.org/ since they assume it have better and more reliable internet connection.

Of course anyone can self host their own Bitcoin node and mine with it, but it doesn't become a pool until someone else combines their hashrate with yours. "Solo mining pool" is a contradiction. You are either solo mining, or you are pool mining, it can't be both.

Maybe we do need a better name, but based on the description that I've found, people do use this term to refer to a service that allows people to mine a block on their own. Indeed.  Solo mining pools aren't really pools.  They're basically just a public node that lets you get the data you need to mine without having to run any network software on your local machine. I really like this creation and think it is a good addition.  My only suggestion would be that while the information for day/week/month/year is available to access via tabs, it would be nice to see the luck information for different time periods on one page.  Having to tab between time periods causes the order of the list to change, thus making it difficult to see luck over time.
