So, when we talk about "investing," think of it as a long game. It's perfect for goals like retirement or just building your wealth gradually. You’re usually buying and holding onto assets, focusing on the fundamentals, and enjoying the power of compounded growth without too much stress involved. On the flip side, there's "trading." This one’s for those who are looking for quick wins. You buy often and sell often, which means you gotta spend time analyzing the market and you need to be okay with higher risks. If you prefer slow and steady growth and want to take it easy, investing might be your jam. But if you like diving into market analysis, have the time to do it, and can handle some risk, then trading could be your thing. Honestly, mixing both strategies can be pretty effective. If you manage a part of your portfolio for trading, you can also focus on investing for growth in the long run.

What if you enjoy analysing the market and you start to trade but you are always losing than making money from trading? Trading is very risky is the reason I ask this question. But what is the purpose of this thread if what you are discussing is not necessary. You need to study how good posters are posting topics on this forum. Maybe you can learn something from them.

Anyone can venture in the two but its all depends on interest and how often they seems to be that good with each of them, as we know trading may be seems very cool and quick profiting but if they doesn't have the right strategies and the cool mindset to trade that person would always keep making loses, but if you are that comfortable with the market and doing analysis but your profits doesn't increased that much over the time that person may decides to go into investment because, with investment they can only choose the duration suitable for them to hold before they can sell off their investment. Most times people doesn't usually knows the right thing to do at the right time, for me since the market is not that cool to trade it would be better they carry out simple investment by buying some reputed coin and hold while the market gain back its states.

I think investing is safer and easier to do than trading because it does not require so much complex knowledge to start unlike trading that involves a lot of learning and practice. In other words, you can start investing very easy although there is also some level of discipline that is needed to be a good investor and to manage the investment properly but that is not as complicated as it is with trading. Therefore, if I'm to chose between the two, I will go with investing.

For people that don't want to be hassled by the market can choose and stick to investing. That's the best option, you don't have to read the charts at all times. You keep buying. And wait until the market gets your stock/crypto in profitable situation. But this doesn't stop an investor to become a trader, we're all free and vice versa.

I prefer to be an investor, trading is not suitable for me, I have tried trading but learning the skill of reading charts and controlling emotions when trading really drains my energy and I am also quite busy in the real world, but investing makes me more flexible, I only buy when I have money and sell it as I please when I need it. For anyone, especially beginners, trading is not for everyone, but investing is for everyone. You have to work very hard to get good instincts and skills in trading. If you are not able to become a trader, it doesn't matter. Don't be discouraged because you can still become an investor.

If you have time and dedication, go for trading. Trading is not an easy job; a lot of people have already lost a lot of money. That's why I said time is because when you start trading, you need to give it time to learn and study the market. After that, you need to be consistent when you are trading, like you only trade whenever you want, that's not good.

Both investing and trading is good for those who want to make a profit in short, medium, and long term. But before they choose one of that, they must learn so they know how to runs with right. The combination of both methods will help him to have additional income while he can still work from his job. But besides learning about trading and investing, he also need to learn about the risk. The risk can be bigger if he doesn't know how to manage. There is many things he need to know about investing and trading so he should spend more time to learn especially if he want to use trading to make a profit in short and medium term.

If you are new or do not like to take risks investing is a good option it is easy safe and offers the potential for long term profits. If you are ready to take risks and have the skills to analyze market fluctuations trading can be profitable for you although it requires a lot of time attention and skill. Because trading involves a lot of risk as sharp market fluctuations can quickly lead you to losses. To trade successfully you need to have a deep knowledge of market trends technical analysis and various strategies.

It is not that easy to invest to me. Because an experience may seem completely simple but investing or trading to a new owner is a very difficult task. So if you can do these things, you must collect knowledge through hard work. You have mentioned that investing from trading is extremely easy. Yes it is true if you can invest through the right search you will benefit because the investment will have to keep the patience clicking here in a process in the long term. Someone is losing arrogance in this case. And trading is a short plan process. Three trading accounts a week. Entry is taken for the target short time. If you can apply the strategies properly here, you want to see the benefits. I can say you want to make a decision between these two things and depend on confidence that you can trade correctly and adopt investment strategies. So it is possible to benefit.

Investment is more safer and the best to follow this reduces tension towards how they follows the market, and with investment they could be patient while their investment gradually grows. People who wants to involves themselves with trading is also doing the right thing but how much better are they while trading because trading is also another faster way to lose money if they don't know how to do the basic/fundamental analysis. Yes, we can take investment as a retirement plan which after several years we may decides to reaping from our investment.

In my mobile bank, I can invest in stocks and some ETFs. I have some portion of my money on my mobile bank account because you never know what's going to happen and you need a few thousand as a cash for emergency cases. I don't want to deposit my money with flexible terms because ROI is very bad, 1-2% is nothing to my mind, so I buy stocks and ETFs from my mobile bank and then sell them when I want and I immediately have access to my money on my bank account. This way, I make some money with my emergency funds. I have a Binance account for trading. I only trade when I feel it's the right time to trade, so it might happen once a year or two years. I hate day trading because it's very stressful and in the end, from my experience, you lose more than you gain. My current approach works very well for me, so I'm very grateful of combining trading and investing.

Trading is more about having a good analysis to propel you forward. Of course, some time is needed there too, but not as much so as for some investment.. And analysis gets you up in investment too, but in trading, if you don't use the needed metrics or ignore them, you are screwed up for sure.

I guess still it does as an investor if course you want to know what are you trying to invest, if its ideal, currently in trend, is this economically needed or need to become unique into your community because this you want to make money and you need a consumer to do that and not just a making an investment and you just let it go easily still being an investor you need to identify if this is worth of your money. In trading you are doing quick flips of an assets, yeah its just look like basic but you need to consider too the demand of the coin so if there's is its good to trade but if not you are just wasting a time. Difference between too is how does the investor/trader use the strategy if goes for a long term or a short term goal. A static or a cashflow income.

The trendy big coins are always in demand. Especially the ones with big developments coming underway. Look at how SOL is flipping ETH, for example, and it will be seen that ETH is not as talked as SOL, currently, at least in my opinion.

Having them both is extraordinary, and the question is whether we can manage it so well. I believe the best thing to do is to just focus on the option where we think we can do right. If we have a lot of time to spend in the market, trading is a good choice. But if we have a busy life because we have a full-time job, investing is the right choice for us. Why I suggest just focusing on one thing because I want you to lessen the pressure you get. It is about time for us to understand that trading is not easy and too risky. This is not about money but capabilities.

It's rare to find a trader who isn't an investor bit very common to find investors who aren't traders. The reason being that trading is more cumbersome than investing. It takes a lot of time to acquire the skills for trading. Investing is more of research. That's if one cares to do the research. Otherwise, it's mere point and pick from other people's analyses. My advise to anyone who hasn't acquired the set skills for trading is not to venture into it for they will lose their funds.

The only analysis needed on investments is either to choose the bear market to market to invest and of course, the bear market is usually the right time to make investment though anyone can make investment at their convenient time but for that investment to yield profit they must also have patient for their investments to bring forth fruit. As of trading the time needed is to analyze how the market could be, when to enter and exit the market and the right to enter trade, also considering the currency at which to trade.

In certain conditions, investing is much more suitable for most people because it does not involve as much risk as trading. But if it becomes one that must be chosen, then you have to ask yourself where is our ability better? If you are able to combine it, it is certainly much better, but few people will probably succeed in trading so decisions must be made so as not to get into trouble in one of them. Sometimes not everyone can manage well if they combine the two slowly because maybe talking about ability, so whether we like it or not we have to have one step that can provide long-term growth for the process of one of them.

Just do both. Invest some of your money for long-term, and at the same time, trade some of your funds as well. Investing for long term = lower risk, lower reward Trading = high risk, high reward Are you willing to risks some of your funds for trading to get some rewards? If yes, then do trading. Investing especially in the stock market for the long-term is very easy. I mean just buy assets that you think will perform well in the long term and just hold it. Trading is very different because you might make some money in a short amount of time, but you can lose as well. It's all about risk like you said OP. As for me, I'm doing both. I'm invested into the stock market and at the same time, in cryptocurrencies for long-term, but at the same time, I'm trading as well hoping to make some profits.
