Exchange tokens had quite the year in 2025, that’s for sure. Some really thrived while others lagged behind. The crypto market bounced back to $4 trillion by Q3, and increased trading activity pushed prices higher. In Q3, exchanges reported $5.1 trillion in spot trading, which is a 31.6% jump from the last quarter, with Binance leading the pack at 23.83% market share. BNB shined bright, soaring by 129% to hit $1,048. OKB also saw gains by capping its total supply at 21 million. But many other exchange tokens didn’t keep pace with Bitcoin, which saw a 31.62% rise in Q2, mainly due to lower trading volumes and the market’s ups and downs. BGB was the real standout, exploding by 880% this year. Token burns and new partnerships, like those with PayFi and Morph Chain, really boosted its growth. Currently trading at $3.50 in December, BGB could potentially hit $30 or higher based on analysis as expansion and events like crazy48h ramp up. What exchange tokens caught you off guard? For me, BNB and BGB take the cake, and I’m holding onto both.

I think only Binance coin performed good this year, the rest that I know performed not that good, unlike last year that they perform good but fall back a little this year. This is not true. BGB was $5.99 at the beginning of this year but its price right now is $3.456. So the coin fell in price this year, not that it increased.

Only BNB performance skyrocketed along side with bitcoin. BNB created a new ATH of $1k+ and that's because CZ was involved in it. BGB didn't perform well because the price is still below the initial price at the beginning of this year. I think BNB is the most successful coin that increased in value this year.

Top five exchange tokens based on ranking and utility driven demands 1:BNB- Binance coin is the top most performing exchange coin for this season and reason is the position the exchange occupy in cryptocurrency exchange market. And the Binance chain development that make the bnb coin the utility coin in the BNB chain. 2:BGB- bitget token have sustained a stable and consistent low price growth even though not so significant but in the positive direction. 3:OKX- token- with a good market record for the year 2025 this also shows hiw consistent this exchange have bewn in support of their own utility and development,  KCS is another coin also from Kucoin exchange so alot of positive achievement for most exchange tonen this year that is highly remarkable.

I don't know how other exchange tokens performed this year except BNB, they experienced new ATH though and I was impressed to be honest. It's been long I heard much about the price of others like HB, OKB, BGB and the rest. Bybit still hasn't created her own native token, what could be the plan, anyone knows? I am suspecting Mantle MNT to be in partnership with Bybit to represent the exchange token because of their certain special features on the exchange, anyone sees that?

Forget about Kucoin Shares, you guys didn't see that OKB pump all the way to a new all-time high at around $200? If we are to go by the all-time highs, then it's far to say OKB performed far much better than BNB in terms of ROI for past 1 year or so. The other exchange tokens such as HTX DAO, NEXO, Gate have been far much bang average.

For me, BNB was the best this year, it surprised me. So far I have not traded with BGB coin, and I do not plan to hold it. And BGB did well at the beginning of this year, but later could not make any new ATH, so we can say that BGB did not do well this year. But this year BNB made new ATH repeatedly, the current ATH is 1.3k+. So this year BNB surprised me, and I was able to make good profit from BNB coin.

All of them actually performed really good despite centralized nature of these coins. It's surprising that the exchange actually bring in utility for the coin, I guess that should be the bare minimum but many projects underdelivered so that's already commendable. I still remember BNB was $300 now sitting in the range of $800, it literally peaked when the first prime TGE IDO launched. MNT which is owned by bybit if i'm not mistaken is also doing pretty good with its launchpool (i borrowed this coin a lot to follow their launchpools) and BGB is doing the same playbook of BNB. If you hold one of them you're in profit despite price dumping a little.

When I saw my bags on BNB I was overjoyed ahah. But I don't rule out BGB, they've made incredible partnerships this year and events like crazy48h phases is boosting trading volumes, they're in phase8 and I've been in since phase2, I use it to accumulate the token, cos the potential is enormous. https://i.ibb.co/gZhRQXkF/IMG-20251216-WA0014.jpg Maybe they'll create theirs next year, yeah either that or they craft out a new ecosystem token

MNT has still so far been very disappointing. For those who bought the BitDAO token back in the day with hope may have a good pump at 3-4 must be very disappointed at this point because it hasn't moved so much. Maybe, Maybe not I suggest spreading the risk to 2 or 3 tokens long term. There is a high chance that at least a couple of them could pump

Despite your status as a Bitget shiller, I agree that $BGB has had a good run this year. Since its $1 price, I predicted it would go further, but unfortunately, my confidence wasn't supported by the favorable financial conditions at the time, so I didn't buy. $BNB is also great as it should be, as they have the largest CEX by far. Accumulation plans would probably be a bad idea now, as the potential for a decline next year is significant.

You got any information about Bybit creating their native token next year, or you just guest that, i will surely grab large sum if they launch their token, will outperform very well because of the reputation the exchange has built, and the total volume accumulated on the exchange too as well. Yeah, especially to popular exchange tokens, keeping 3-4 of them for long term is a go.

Haha, you're right. Despite that it's an obvious shill again, BGB no doubt that made it. So, maybe what they've done has came into fruition and it's no longer shilling on them?  Both BGB and BNB made well for this year and that's why this opened the idea that exchange tokens have been doing it and made so much profit for this bull run. But let's see on the next one if they'll still the same but I guess for BNB it will be.

so if those tokens perform well meaning tokens like MEXC are a good thing to buy, there are tokens that never ride with other exchange tokens price uptrend meaning they have their own time to rise on value, and its a nice to have them during times that they are asleep, tokens like that are golds waiting to be discover during other uptrend, aside from those tokens that you have mentions are you also hold other exchange tokens? can you share it with us?

For an exchange token to pump high, it needs to be coming from trusted exchange and being utilized heavily for the exchange's program. The problem is not all exchange are trusted. I think so far the only reputable ones are binance, bybit, and bitget. It's the big three in my book. Probably the only good candidate is OKX's OKB. Not sure how good it is though but they've been having some quite good incentivization program.

Yep, but unfortunately I didn't generate anything from those two tokens . I don't understand the meaning of the same that you said, whether it's same in bad sense (the price remains the same as it's now) or it's same in good sense (there will be a price increase again next year). For me, both still have good potential in the next year, but the top will still be owned by $BNB, because of its adoption, ecosystem & strong community.

It's okay if you're not holding any of the two. As long as you've made money on this bull run, that's all that matters and regardless of the crypto where it came from. What I mean is about the next bull run if both of them will still be seen in the top. For BNB, no doubt that it's still going to be there because we've seen it until now. For bgb, it's made well for this bull run but we don't know if it will survive the bear market and that's why I've said for BNB it will be the same just like this bull run.
