Having trouble getting your Bitcoin node to connect to peers? If you've already verified your internet connection and checked your firewall settings but still can't get connected, what else could you try? I appreciate any advice on this.

Start by looking at your "debug.log" file located in your bitcoin data directory. Datadir default locations: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory#Default_Location Note: If your node is new (no previous datadir) and it's Bitcoin Core v28.0 on Windows, the datadir should be in "local" appdata instead of "roaming". Sometimes, it's your node that's stuck with an invalid block which can be distinguished by an error in your logs, or other related issues. Also check if your firewall or AV is blocking inbound and outbound connections from/to Bitcoin Core.

Try a VPN. If your internet provider is blocking your node, that should solve it.

I will check the configuration settings and try to add known public nodes. I will also check to see if port 8333 is open and if it is possible to connect through another network. If the problem persists, I will seek additional help.

You don't need to do this to make outgoing connections. Your node will make up to 8 outgoing connections. If it's a new node, still initializing its blockchain, it won't accept incoming connections anyway, not until the initialization is complete. Even after that, a node works perfectly well with only 8 outgoing connections Read the debug.log
