I've been thinking about how to keep an eye on what whales are up to in Bitcoin and crypto in general. I keep hearing about "whales are buying" or "whales are moving their coins" but I really have no clue how these folks figure that out. Are there any specific tools or websites or even tricks you all use to track what the whales are doing? Like, when they're stacking up, selling off, or just shifting coins around? I feel like this info could be super helpful, but since I'm still kinda new here, I don’t wanna just go by random tweets.

These days, it is very possible to track whale movements because of the public and transparent nature of the blockchain technology. While the process is known as On-Chain Analysis and can happen across the Blockchain ecosystem of Bitcoin , Etherum and other crypto currencies, we may have yet easier ways to keep track of whales and social media platforms like X, telegram, helps when we want to keep track but do not know how to either set alerts with some available alerting tools or interpret on-chain analysis.

There are some tools I have seen before, but I don't know how effective they are since I have never used them before. And the fact that exchanges now have OTC options and due to their centralized nature, the orders and order books are just updated without any on chain activity. I think you know this. Whale transactions/trade tracking is easier on DEXs as everything is sense on the blockchain. 1. https://www.cryptometer.io/whale-trades 2. https://whale-alert.io/

I only use two tools to track them. The one is already mentioned above, whale-alert.io, but I don't use the website, but I am using their Telegram because it's a free alert. The other one is the exchange, like OKX; they are giving you such information as a sample. If you are monitoring BTC, there's an event tab; all you see there are alerts of moving big funds and high-impact news. That's the only source that I know that gives me ideas about whales transferring the same BTC or other coins.

1. Arkham intelligence to track big whales position such as microstrategy and so on. The good thing is they label those address when they identify ones. 2. Hyperliquid on-chain position. When you see someone making hundred million dollar position in hyperliquid, that can be an alpha. 3. whale alert like everyone has said above. 4. Some on-chain digging. This one gonna take time That's all about it. There's only so much you can find about tracking whales. Simply because they usually use CEX which is impossible to track.
