Ramadan Kareem to all my Muslim friends in advance. The blessed month is almost here, and I hope Allah showers all of us with his blessings and forgiveness.
I know how significant this month is, but I'm curious if I'm the only one who really goes all out to prepare for it. I can't be alone in this, right? Lately, I've been thinking about how to make the most of trading, especially since we're in a bear market. I spotted a trading opportunity on an exchange offering perks for traders in the Middle East and North Africa during Ramadan, which honestly left me feeling a bit down. I'm just wondering why there aren't similar offers for traders like me from West Africa, or am I just not seeing something?

I feel why there may not be similar opportunities for West African traders, would be due to the fact that the focus of exchanges on specific regions based on their user base, the market demand, or even the conditions placed on regulations. Most likely, the exchanges youre looking at or looking for simply havent targeted West Africa yet, doesn't mean there aren't other platforms or opportunities out there. Always keep an eye out for local exchanges or platforms that might offer promotions tailored around our region, added to the fact that the crypto landscape is always evolving. It can also help uncover opportunities that you may not have seen or heard about.
Ramadan Kareem in advance buddy. It's a beautiful time for reflection and community, and your thoughts on preparation resonates with many.

You're spot on, but west Africa has one of the highest number of crypto and web3 enthusiasts in Africa. Ghana, Nigeria, benin Republic etc. this is the only Ramadan event I've come across https://www.bitget.site/events/activities/ccd3d479b591586cae7a79037f44721c?color= some African countries are listed as qualified you can check it out. Ramadan Kareem in advance to you buddy

When is Ramadan? Sorry, I am not a Muslim. If it has not started and you've not seen an exchange or broker holding promotions in your region, then forget about it, after all, it is not a must, you can plan yourself outside this and will be well. But wait a minute, you are not clear in your explanation, what exactly do you want the broker/exchange to do for you? Also, if you do not mind going to brokers instead of an exchange, I advise you to Google it, you will see many of them offering various Ramadan promo.
The reason may be that there are no marketing offers because it is a religious occasion that often calls for fasting and reducing expenses. Generally, you will find some offers during the Eid season, i.e. 30 days after Ramadan, and you may find some offers on local platforms, although most of the available offers will be related to activity on social media.
Is there a project on alts or any crypto space that are founded by Muslim? I think theres a lot of muslim users who are active in crypto and Im wondering if they also support their own religion users who establishes project that they created? Ive heard before but I forgot the name and if the project is still alive or doing well.
I completely agree with you. Hopefully we get to see more of these in our region because i haven’t come across exchanges locally. It’s great i’m not the only one with these thoughts. Wishing you a wonderful Ramadan😊
There’s no problem with asking….Ramadan starts on the 1st of March and i’ve actually put my mind off it, i would keep checking for other opportunities because i prefer exchanges to brokers.

I think Ramadan it's only applicable to the Muslim countries and congratulations to you on that. But meanwhile trading during this period should be more favourable I guess, talking about maximizing profits are you insinuating of trying to sell coins cause of the celebration of Ramadan or what are you talking about maximizing profits for? Yes it may come with lots of opportunities but you should be patient and focus on your celebration.

Happy Ramadan to you too Buddy, may Allah accept our Ibada.
Exchanges offers and rewards are unending and when you dont get to see one for your region now, another one might come that offers for your region if the exchange is available in your region to use. You can maximize your gains even in this holy month, just specify your time well and try to achieve results maximally as appointed by you to accomplish them.

The Ramadan starts today 1 March 2025 if i am not mistakenly.
An from little search on google to give you exactly what you want to know about the Ramadan "Ramadan is a holy month of worship, study of the Quran, prayer, and fasting. Ramadan occurs during the month in which Muslims believe the Quran began to be revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. It is a joyous celebration for Muslims".
However, i wouldn't encourage op to go into any trading currently as he could distracted so much while observing their Ramadan. Maybe whenever he is done with that then he could engage himself fully to the trading.

I think this is done by the exchange because they operate in an area where the majority of users are Muslims, so the month of Ramadan is used as an attraction by giving rewards or bonuses, this is the same as in casinos during Christmas or New Year where there are many events that offer bonuses for their users, so the reason for the majority of residents where the exchange operates is the reason why there are exchanges that do not offer bonuses during Ramadan.
However, as a trader, you certainly understand that rewards from the exchange are not free money. There will be requirements that determine whether you are entitled to receive them or not.
Actually, you may be taking the OP the wrong way or misunderstanding him. In my understanding, he was only trying to explain what he saw that would benefit people, especially those fasting during this period. One example of the benefits he was trying to explain is here as maintaining of a net deposit of 30K USDT for at least five days will get someone to be rewarded with up to 80 BGB, and that is for muslims that are into cryptocurrency.
It actually feels good to have some additional funds or reward to help during festive seasons, it taste differently and bring a lot of fun. But where there is none, we can still try and enjoy what we have and not allow anything spoil the season for us. Meanwhile I saw a notification from Bybit that they have even this season, you can check their socials for details and confirm if that is suitable for you.
Ramadam Kareem my fellow West African.
Oh, TIL, exchanges do ramadan promotions -- sorry I'm out of touch lol.
BTW, is binance not available to you, as well? they support a wide selection of countries. I just saw they're back again with ramadan promotions this year, see: Join Binances 2025 Ramadan Calendar: Giving, Community, and $750K in Rewards
or perhaps they support your country but your place is particularly locked out to said promotion. That'd be a bummer, indeed.
Ramadan Kareem to muslims of bitcointalk!
Congratulations on the month of Ramadan, may everyone's life end healthily in this month of Ramadan. But at the present time, I think we are in a bull market. The bull run is not over yet, but if you want to trade, you can definitely do it. But if you trade with the aim of making a profit, you may face losses, you have to enter with as much money as you can afford to lose to trade.
However, you can trade according to the DCA method in the current market situation. Because if you trade with this DCA method, you will definitely profit, and it must be a reliable and trustworthy coin such as Bitcoin.
I am not one of yours but peace be all to you.
I didn't know that when Ramadan has come, there are some offers that exchanges give to every user. Does this only something to do with the actual Muslims or it's open to everybody? If you happen to find some, please update us here so that we'll know that as well. I thought this thread is all about stopping to trade during Ramadan in order for you guys to have more time in celebrating it.

The exchange or service cannot know which of their customer is actually a muslim or not, except they want to make the promotion for only people from a particular country or region that is predominantly occupied by muslims. However, that may be unfair because there are muslims all around the world, promotions like this is simply to mark and celebrate the occasion, not really about the people who are lucky to be winners from it.
There are winners and losers from the market, the earlier we learn to be disciplined and independent on anyone other than our specific strategy. Muslims around the world are delicate and disciplined in this Month of Ramadan, watching them abiding by the crucial rules passed, it shows unity among themselves. It do call for celebration. Trading during Ramadan is some form of disrespect and consider inappropriate? I don't think so, making money never ends and there's no days off when one is ambitious about printing profits runs. We're here to gather as much profits and losses on the line, that is expected and can not be omitted. These exchanges have no clue about their clients and they always do what's best for the them and having a target to meet up to.
Just don't end up like that Dubai guy in 2017 who loaned a hell lot of money to buy BTC when it was in ATH and then couldn't afford to pay off his loan and had to sell all his BTC at a loss.
I think he had low blood sugar when he made that decision lol
You are supposed to be doing good deeds anyway in Ramadan. Turn off that TradingView and go pray

I don't know of any exchanges that offer promotions like this during Ramadan, and most likely if there are such offers, they are not aimed at Muslims only
What you need to know in today sluggish market, the only way to profit is to avoid it in the first, and besides if you are a Muslim and fasting, your emotions will be out of control if your trading activity does not go according to plan
Ramadan Kareem to all people Muslims.
