So, I run a small farm (less than 100KW with around 30 machines) and got tempted by a listing for a "Bitmain Antminer S21 Pro" from a vendor labeled as trusted on AsicMinerValue. I even have a Discord server with some childhood friends and other mining buddies.
The vendor, Vipera LLC, had a pre-order for the Bitmain Antminer S21 Pro (250TH/S). Since they were marked as a "trusted" seller on ASICMinerValue and I had read positive reports about others buying from them, I thought it was a safe move to pre-order. I originally went for two units, but after a few friends warned me not to go through with it since there were no signs that the miner actually existed, I changed my order to just one.
The sales rep, Sabrina Monte, was honestly pretty rude the whole time, but I brushed it off thinking maybe English wasn't her first language.
About a month ago, some members on Discord pointed out that Vipera had just taken the miner off their site. They didn't mark it as sold out or anything, just removed the page altogether. I checked it out and saw that all the news pieces about them securing 1500 units had vanished too, except for one Medium article posted by Vipera themselves.
I started emailing Sabrina Monte about 6 weeks ago, but got no response. About a month ago, my emails started bouncing back as "undeliverable." So, I tried reaching out to their general sales email, and they explained that "Bitmain canceled the S21 Pro 2 weeks ago."
