So, I set a password
'root'
Someone messaged me about an old review I wrote for a seller.
Back in 2020, I did a review on some hashboards that fit into the s9. They were pretty solid gear, and honestly, for someone with 120 volts, they would've been a smart buy.
But for now, I'm keeping this next review under wraps.
It's a beagle! It consumes low power, around 8-9 watts, and offers 100gh. Sure, that's not a ton for mining, but if you're looking to get into mining info on certain coins, check the weather, or even use it as an alarm clock, it’s actually pretty handy.

I will get two of the new gear. One will be a gift to me.
But as usual I will give an honest review.
A hint they will be low power items.
look below low power indeed

but I have a complicated wifi set up once I switched to the main route it worked on 2.4 speed
this is the seller

Not great efficiency but, conceptually, very cool!!!

Yeah it has the other functions:
time
temp
humidity
prices of 4 coins
alarm not loud and does not ring long.
But all of the above are really good on an office desk.
Say you want to call someone at 3pm set the alarm for 2:50pm
You can glance at it for prices.
You can tell the temp in your town outside your office.
and it is a very low noise fan.
I am going to hodl what it mines for a few years.
If you run it at your companies office you are not abusing them in terms of mining and wasting power as it has all the other services.
the 51f for outside is correct the rainy clouds are correct.
the 83f temp is a bit off as the device makes a tiny bit of heat so I suspect that my room is not 83f
the humidity inside my home runs low in the winter so 24.3% is close to correct
and it has the coins prices of 4 coins I hodl

here are 2 beagles and how they run on viabtc.
no issues they keep good time and show me prices of:
BTC ETH ETC BNB on Beagle 3
BTC DOGE SOL LTC on Beagle 1
so far zero issues with them

I was curious about the equipment.
Some additional questions:
Can we choose the currency in which the price is displayed, or is it only in dollars?
Is the temperature only in Fº or in Cº as well?
Is the alarm only for the time, or is it possible, for example, to set an alarm for when a currency reaches a certain price?
How often are the prices updated?
However, I noticed on the official website that they have another equipment (without the clock and the like) for the same price but with 400Gh/s. For those who want to try mining, wouldn't it be more interesting?

#10Mar 20, 2026, 04:58 PM you can pick Fº or Cº.
Let me check on pricing in $ or Euro
Mine has 3 countries to pick
USA
Canada
Taiwan
1 language English
the time alarm is strictly for an alarm.
This item is an office desk novelty piece.
But it is very useful it lists 4 different coins and color codes if the coin is up or down.
I am color blind but the red is very dark in fact I would say it is dark carmine so I can easily tell it from the medium green used for up.
I have 2 of these so I can set to 2 countries Taiwan and USA which is good for business.
I am not sure if you can add other countries as you really need more than 3.
Perhaps there is a way to do this.
As being able to pick more than 3 countries is important.
I do a lot of buying from China so picking China or Hong Kong would be nice.

#11Mar 20, 2026, 08:03 PM gear has been flawless for a month.
fans are quiet.
the green for up and red for down has led me to buy a few dips.

#12Mar 22, 2026, 06:41 PM Do you happen to know any system/kit to put this type of equipment to work with solar energy?
HPosts: 2182 · Reputation: 12913
#13Mar 22, 2026, 11:23 PM WELL this uses under 10 x 24 = 240 watts in 24 hours. So a small kit with a battery would work well.
this may do the trick

#15Mar 23, 2026, 06:46 AM and many days later my two beagles just whale away. no issues.

#16Mar 23, 2026, 12:08 PM It's glad to see both Beagles work well for you. I think they bring you more fun beyond only mining.

#17Mar 25, 2026, 10:43 AM yeah i can instantly see prices with no effort and it helps for buying coins or selling them.
there is a lot of value in that feature.
i just got a lot of btc when we went under 80k because I could instantly look at the btc price.
my pc is off when I sleep but the beagles just run.
So if I wake up in the middle of the night I can glance at the beagle and if prices are right go on the pc and buy or sell
