Anyone heard of this new miner brand?

Hey folks. I stumbled upon a new online store, and it turns out the owner is a miner maker from China. Has anyone come across this before?

Nothing new about it, canaan.io is legit, one of the oldest manufacturers of gear. Just be careful to use their website and not something with extra aaaa in the domain name or other funny extensions.

Canaan.io is one of the legit ASIC machine manufacturers since 2016 currently they don't have an official distributor of their miners. Again, Canaan is NOT new. They produced the 1st ASIC chip back in late 2012 and released the 1st ASIC-based miner in 2013 IMHO Canaan generally produces the best miners. While their Avalon miners may not be quite as efficient as Bitmain's Ants are, the Avalons' are far far more reliable.

Folks, I hope you have paid attention to Canaan's Terms page, specifically the part about Warranty repairs:Because Canaan no longer uses Authorized Distributors that applies to ALL companies that are acting as resellers or unofficial distributors of their mining equipment.

CANAAN will never know how many times an ASIC has been resold. You must send the ASIC to the first buyer, and he will send it to China for warranty service. This can take several months, so miners first look for good services that can quickly repair ASICs in their country.

Someone been living under a rock? Many existing threads about their different miners in the Hardware area, just use 'Avalon' or 'Canaan' as a search term. Various models were the A6, A721, A741, A821, A841, A941 (their only clunker but the 1st 10nm miner to market beating Bitmain by 3 months). Starting with the A10xx they followed MicroBt & Bitmain and changed to using built-in PSU to raise efficiency. For a very long time their Avalon 841 has been the most durable miner ever made.

He might be an alt account of this dongqudalaoli who promoting Canaan's official website that includes a fake telegram link. Canaan never use telegram to contact their customers. So there is a big possibility that this man is one person trying to promote something or the telegram link. I believe sooner or later if this thread is already buried in a few pages in this section he will edit his post and add the telegram link just like other users who try to manipulate the forum(Blackhat strategy).
