Hey all,
I just set up my AntMiner and it’s been going for about a day. I noticed there’s a message about "hardware error" on the dashboard. Is this something that happens a lot? My hashrate seems decent overall, so I'm wondering if I need to worry about this or what it really means.
Check out the picture below:
Are hardware errors common?

You look to be lacking some info.
Ie how many shares were accepted.
do you have a t19?
What is the type of Antminer ?
Thanks for the reply! I am mining at AntPool PPLNS, BTC only. Where can I see about the shares? My miner is Antminer T19 84t.
You should note that running PPLNS at Antpoo, they keep all the block transaction fees which is very bad for you.
Read here the pinned message about that ...

okay they changed the interface but. you can do a few things to see how badly your errors are taking away profits.
run for a day. and check
real time hashrate
you look like 84177 real 85224 theory
so 84177/85224 = 98.77%
so for every 10000 you should earn you are earning 9877
do 1 more check and see what the pool says you average since the pool is the payer if they say you do 82,000
or 86,000 or in-between it is the real payout.
As for mining at ant pool don't .
You should mine at viabtc.com if you want you could use my referral link
https://www.viabtc.com/signup?refer=257609
or you could just go directly to https://www.viabtc.com/
this pool pays you very day if you mine 0.001 or more in a day
they simply take your hashrate and multiply by the daily number
Last 24-Hour Earnings (BTC)
0.00898454 Avg. Daily Earnings 0.00000879 BTC/T (≈PPS 100.45%)
one of my accounts earned 0.00898454 as it had 1022th hash
if you want to support a small pool you can mine at kano.is
I know you said you have 60 machines in another thread.
you could point 50-55 at viabtc and 5-10 at kano.is
kano.is is risky due to variance but you can make very good money when and if they hit blocks.
viabtc.com is safer but you pay higher fees to get steady payouts.
I do this high risk mining at a very small pool. mmpool.org I point 20 th at it
I point 1600/1700 ph at viabtc.
Hardware errors are very normal to have, it's a waste of time to try and determine what number of errors is good and whatnot, the most important would be your accepted hashrate on the pool, it accounts for all hardware errors, stale and rejected shares if your daily accepted average is very close to the hash rate that shows on your miner status page, then probably everything is fine, if it's off, then you need to troubleshoot.
Generally speaking, hardware errors is directly related to the hash board frequency, the higher the frequency the more errors you get, if you think for example the middle hash board is getting too many HW, then you will need to lower the frequency for that board, not sure if the firmware you use allows that, if it doesn't, there is nothing you can do about it.
Also, please do yourself a favor and stop mining to Antpool.
You probably mean 1.6/1.7 ph or 1600/1700 th.
