This is because Bitcoin mining has long since become industrial, and a small home miner no longer has a big impact. It can't be said that nobody is producing ASICs for home mining, I have the impression that we've never had as much choice as we do now: with the Nano 3, for example, or the Bitaxe or the new sidehack products. In my opinion, it's just that home mining is becoming more and more focused on solo mining each cycle, but that doesn't mean it's non-existent.

Now you can only buy an ASIC heater for an apartment, but these models practically do not pay for themselves. well in house with a quiet miner is possible. but more or less in the 700-1000 watt range. mining to a blind address via nicehash. My winter power is 13 cents 1000 watts is 25kwatts a day or $3.25 daily cost. for my 1000 watts I can get 45th which is $2.31 usd a day looks like a loss but it is going to a blind btc address and gets paid every 3 weeks which means privacy and only 17 deposits a year. There is value in this . Plus I need heat 6 months a year so my 1 dollar loss does get reduced. There is a lot to be said about mining a 700-1000 watt miner in your home. But the more your power bill is 13 cents vs 20 cents vs 30 cents vs 50 cent a watt the value is altered.

According to Bitcoin Magazine Pro, the 7-day average mining hash rate for Bitcoin has hit a new all-time high, surpassing 667 exahashes per second (EH/s) on July 26th during the Bitcoin 2024 conference. This tops the previous record of 657 EH/s set on May 26th.

Current network hashrate is 691.6EH/s  Its mindblowing and it still seems to be going up as does the difficulty which is also now at an all time high. Nevertheless, I shall keep on mining solo with my 6TH/s in the hope of hitting a block. I may even add a few more TH/s over the next few weeks, at least it'll keep the house warm in winter.
