So, I just ordered a BitAxe Gamma and it should be arriving in a day or two.
I'm curious if it's possible to set it up to mine directly to bitcoin core using GBT, or is it limited to only Stratum protocol and mining to a pool?
Honestly, I don’t know much about BitAxe yet, so any info would be appreciated.
Thanks, G.
BitAxe Gamma Can I mine directly to local bitcoin core with GBT?

you can only mine on a stratum pool of your choice and enter this in the settings of your bitaxeGamma as follows
the first steps i would take in your place are to carry out the respective updates - you can find them under this link: https://github.com/bitaxeorg/ESP-Miner/releases
where did you buy the bitaxe miner, if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks for the link. I agree getting the latest FW onboard would be a good idea. I've no idea how to do that presently, but I'm sure I'll work it out.
I bought it through ZeusBTC, hopefully that wasn't a mistake.
I use Ocean's Datum Gateway set to solo local mining on my full node and point the Bitaxe to the IP of the node - All working fine but no block reward yet
Datum will work with Core but Ocean recommend Bitcoin Knots because of the ability to set your own mining template in finer detail
Settings:
Stratum host - Your node IP Eg: 192.168.1.234
Stratum Port: 23334
Stratum User: Your BTC Receive address EG bc1qqv7ymltch123456z0x68pyhfqh8kxtx3dmzv
Thanks,
Since I wrote the original post I've spoken with the ESP-Miner dev team and proposed the idea of mine to GBT.
Its something that they'll likely look at in future, but for now its not a supported feature.
I've set-up to mine to the usual stratum pools eusolo.ckpool.org and solo.stratum.braiins.com but I plan to set-up a local stratum pool in future using the CKPOOL code.
