Hey, anyone got the scoop on BCD? The website's not up and the network doesn't seem to be running. Is it possible that the project is dead? If anyone's got updates, please share.

I've checked on their telegram channel and there was a report the site was hacked the telegram channel is full of spam and it seems there's not one part of the team managing the channel anymore if the site is down and the telegram channel is neglected this is the sign that the project is abandoned, you can choose to wait for 2 or 3 days but if nothing happens then its time to dump your tokens, this is an exit scam.

Is the BCD network working? How can we get information about it? I checked, but as far as I understand, the network is not working and block production has stopped. Can someone with technical knowledge and understanding of blockchain check it?

Bitcoin Diamond is one of the hard fork of bitcoin but it looks like the project is dormant for a while and literally the trading volume is less than a bitcoin so I assume no one can able to use that shit. I can't able to collect any further information about their current status because there is no activity in their official social media handles for years and website is down.

Web-site is down, the social network is dead, and volume is really low. I'm pretty sure you can consider BCD dead.

Take a look on the miningpoolstats website and you'll see that there are no pools active, although it seems like it's still being solo mined and to my surprise is shown as trading around $0.08.  That's enough evidence that it's a dead coin, and even if it's not rotting-in-the-grave-dead, it's still not worth getting involved with whatsoever. Now that we've established the morbidity of said BCD, can OP please lock the thread?

Another chapter of a scam project that has closed down, and another reason why some naive investors will still generalize the crypto space as a scam, my heartfelt sympathy to the OP for how this project turned out, this is part of the risks involved in the market. Investing in many projects in cryptocurrency are are gamble, except for Bitcoin and top altcoins that have proven their reputations in the crypto industry.

One more scam everything is down their website is down, their social media channels are not up, telegram has gone bonkers and the trading volume is equal to nothing. I don't think there are chances of revival and it seems that the team has pulled out scam on it's investors which has become pretty common nowadays. I was just speaking about Terra Luna events on another post and now this. Sad we need to move on as nothing much can be done from this point.

Hopefully this is just a small problem that can be solved by dev in the near future, because bcd in my opinion is still a pretty good option in bitcoin derivatives with a clear vision at the time. I remember 2 years ago buying bcd with great confidence, without taking into account the daily marketcap but as far as I have encountered Bcd provides an interesting experience, if the service is stopped I think this is too fast and maybe it will surprise other members because I am sure there are still quite a lot of holders even though the price is very cheap. I think bcd will be fine from the events that are currently going through.

I totally disagree with you. How many projects have you seen so dead to the extent that they came back? Instead, they would rather rebrand and come in another form, but obviously the token is dead, and it would be better to sell off the one he is holding instead of regretting it later if it eventually goes to zero. Their telegram channel has been hacked, so they said, Why is their website not live? or maybe they can be reached over there. That will prove that they are facing some challenges and are willing to overcome it. Sending emails or disseminating the information through social media handles is not a bad idea. So they fail to do so, which means they are gone. Another scam.

Any project that uses the name of another top project is not investable to me. There are a few projects that are using the name of bitcoin to leverage its popularity. What purpose are they serving there? They brought any additional benefits to the bitcoin market or their service is better than bitcoin and their tokenomics is better? I don't think so. Founder of those project didn't have any unique idea thats why they just tried to create a better version of bitcoin and failed.

Try checking again. I checked, the web is indeed inactive. Maybe the network and others are also inactive. It can be said to be dead

BCD was launched in 2017 and it was a fork of Bitcoin which ruled the CMC for some time. The reason why no one cares about this project is primarily because of the internal conflict within the team and the leadership that came out in the media. There were other reasons which were specifically because of technical issues as the developers did not work on the scalability issue, mining algorithm, and vulnerable security. It is a dead project as per my understanding and it is better that you forget about your investment in this shit project. If you do some Google search almost all cryptocurrencies that started as a fork of Bitcoin are either dead or are on the verge of becoming dead.

Is this the website? http://www.bitcoindiamond.org I checked it, and it is online, but regardless the coin or blockchain is probably long dead. Their block explorer doesn't even work — http://explorer.btcd.io Trading volume is just around 40K in the last 24 hours. Imagine! Even some shitcoins have much better trading volumes. People out to follow such pieces of advice early enough Bitcoin Diamond is a scam of epic proportions

I have heard the name of this coin sometimes ago but was not having the interest to discuss about though I might have forgotten it. If a cryptocurrency project website is not working for days then there is a big problem because even though the website nos under maintenance there should inform the customers and a written information on the site to inform visitors so that people would not panic. I am suspecting that they are on the exit scam. Lolz. These are one of dead coins that making it increasing the cryptocurrency number in the ecosystem. They should just inform all the investors in the project to withdraw all their funds and close down the projec.

Do you still hold it? If so, it's best for you to just dump it. It's a fork of Bitcoin and many have already dumped it after the distribution. Up to now, the website is still inaccessible. Don't they have some notice to their community if they are in maintenance or sort of? Well, you see the signs if you're holding it and still believing to forks like this.

Only the name can quickly tell me that it's a shitcoin. I am not sure it is the Bitcoin Diamond you are looking for, but that announcement thread was dead years ago. ANN [DECENTRALIZED] Bitcoin Diamond - Proof Of Stake Version Based On Bitcoin. Bitcoin Diamond is like many altcoins as Bitcoin forks, died or lost their prices with time. How Many Bitcoin Forks Are There? You will be surprised!!!

This reminds me so many projects which took the name of Bitcoin and tried to improve the original idea of Satoshi, but any of them have had any meaningful success in the long term. Names like Bitcoin vault, bitcoin gold, Bitcoin SV and others come to mind, yet never of them have been able to even get close to the market capitalization of the real deal with is Bitcoin. Anyways, if this project was pretty much dead back in 2024, I would not expect it to be renewed in 2026. That is not how shitcoins usually work.
