The dump wasnt too big, and it looks like Bitcoin is already recovering now.
But to answer your question based on what Ive researched, this could be one of the possible reasons.

Bybit sent me message about it. It pointed to DeepSeek to be the cause.
Not quite long that I saw on social media that it is caused by the DeepSeek.
Some minutes later, I also saw it on the news that it is caused by DeepSeek.
You can read about a reason you can link to it here https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0qw7z2v1pgo
It also affected bitcoin which its price direction is also affecting other cryptocurrencies.

I didn't get an email from Bybit. I think it is time I subscribed to their news letter.
DeepSeek has been the buzz and has affected the price of most things. Even stocks are not exempted.
It shows how any new disruptive tech can easily affect the price of bitcoin.
It usually comes as a shock but then, then price climbs up back gradually.

It is not an email message but a notification. If you are active in Bybit and enable the notification from your phone notification settings for the Bybit app, you will be getting such notification. Although most notification from Bybit are about bitcoin or an altcoin getting to certain price and also about technical analysis that encourages people to buy a coin. But about news, this is the first time I got such notification from Bybit.
Whenever the Bitcoin market goes Dip is a point of the whalers haven sold highily amount of their Bitcoins and when it goes Dipper could still mean higher amount of has been sold.
In other words... market fluctuations can be manipulated by amount of bought and sold of Bitcoin which either determines the market to drop down or pull up.
"the fall of Bitcoin" - sounds like all the miners have abandoned Bitcoin, all development
has been halted, markets have crashed to zero and nobody can buy or sell...
I'm not sure what "fall" the OP is referring to because any sort of market movement
for Bitcoin is kind of normal or to be expected. Bitcoin dropping by a couple of
thousand $'s in the space of an hour or a day doesnt get me excited at all.
The Bitcoin market dropping by $10k will though because it provides a great opportunity
to simply buy more.
Why did it drop recently as per OP? does it matter?
